Explanation of his plans is like watching a shell game where you lose money to fraud every time. Government like the monetary system can and should facilitate trade, but they don't create value ever except as a lubricant for value to be traded. It's very simple. Value / Wealth is produced by production activity or it's found wealth in natural resources. Economic activity beyond that is extraneous consumption. The wealth that's produced buying services. The core is the production & that's the well from whence wealth is produced. PERIOD. For a government to spend, they have to take. There are things which are vital to the running of a country which they should do. Pretty much laid out specifically in the Constitution. There is a reason for restriction beyond that, which is corruption, graft. Human nature is to take what they can, so government if given the chance will become horribly corrupt. We are there, it's destructive. The more centralized government becomes the easier it is to get away with corruption. This is why scum bags are pushing the EU and NAU, to facilitate the buying of central power which makes massive corruption so much easier. Government can't be trusted to run charity. The natural inclination is to use resources to benefit the individuals with power, and that's exactly what happens. Black communities are a prime example and have suffered great societal degradation as a result of this "help". 500% rise in murder rate & single motherhood rate, since Black people went majority democrat for the "help". The "help" was never about help, it was about political power & it's done great harm. What Bernie proposes would be a boon for a very short time, for parasites. It would destroy the production incentive of the country. This is empirically proven throughout history all over the world. Progs pushing the con point to Norway & Sweden and a few other places. Sweden as compared to similar Swiss is failing miserably as a result of socialist economics. Norway has a strong oil economy, Sweden has some ... both have great natural resources they draw from. Norway more. Socialism works when there is great wealth to be found laying around. When money is laying around to pick up, anyone can do well without working, you know, if the money is of value, as are natural resources.
