  1. I would love background checks on gun purchases. We do have a problem with the government pushing beyond their rightful authority and would use lists to take guns probably just as other governments have done. You only have to look around the world at what has been done under the name of "gun safety" where guns have been confiscated and even the shotguns allows in Ireland for instance come with a huge pain in the ass where cops do checks at 3 am. It's a crazy level of lockup of guns and ammo separate and if you make a mistake you catch a felony and a record that damages your life. People have just given them up, and it really seems that was the goal. I'd love people to do background checks on sales, just keep the Federal Government out of it. We really can't trust them. I think plenty of shit has been pulled under Obama to justify that position is not just some wild eyed nutbar shit. People in the country with guns are less dangerous than our corrupt government. It was always that way in potential.

  2. Munkydelarocha Esquire People selling the weapons. There could be a reward also for turning in a felon trying to buy a weapon. A penalty for not doing a check when selling a weapon and a felony for knowing selling to a felon or non citizen or across state lines. We like to think of government as perfect, but far from it. Government is actually less trust worthy than the people as a whole. You're also never going to stop guns. They are too easy to build. Terrorists got them in France with extreme gun laws, that we've seen stopped people from defending themselves. Guns are an over all positive if you understand there will be bad people willing to hurt other people. Perps have advantage of planning. Self defense has to be on their schedule. Guns make hurting people dangerous. Guns favor the weak, women, people who don't have a gang of other people with them like criminals often do, because they can plan. As gun ownership has gone up in the US, crime has gone down. Places that allow concealed carry after not having allowed it, crime went down. Average deaths in shooting rampages police stop, 14.3. When stopped by a citizen with a gun, 2.3. The stats the obama administration puts out are not given in an objective way, and are often very deceptive purposely. The CDC numbers shows there isn't a significant gun problem. The stuff we see in media are a result of bombardment not a reflection of real life. Media is selective about what it shows, looking to shape opinion, not so much to objectively inform. What comes through the tube isn't reality. They have favored groups they don't want seen in a negative light, others they do. Show buiz mirrors this, and it's because it's nearly all progressive. They do this purposely. Shapiro did an investigative report and a book. People who control content in entertainment use it as a sort of media, or should I correctly say, propaganda. Celebs who propagandize for the progressive cause often get great job opportunity. Kind of a Goebbels type media / propaganda situation. Very effective because people don't really filter entertainment in their minds, it just makes an impression. Guns in the hands of good people make society safer. They make criminality more risky. Government tends to want control above our safety. Government tends to pull some dishonest shit to gain more power and often gets out of control. I mean fast and furious to plant guns in Mexican drug lords hands and make it seem like it's a problem with the US gun market? Drug lords don't need US guns. They can get them cheaper and full auto, less hassle. Police can't help us in time, people all around armed can. A gun on us can help. Do problems happen from people being armed that wouldn't happen if they were not? Yes, but unless you just cherry pick the negatives and ignore the positives it's conclusive that over all gun ownership by citizens is a big positive and a small negative.

  3. Munkydelarocha Esquire Absolutely. A strong government is important, but one limited in scope, talking about the central government of a large country such as US. Limited to certain areas and to evenly enforcing basic laws that cover everyone including government, so as not to provide incentive or ability to become grossly corrupt, as had occurred. Pretty much as the constitution was written with a couple of adjustments to contain problems that have come about over the last couple hundred years.
