Mens jobs, domestic manufacturing, was predominantly shipped overseas not long after wmen began entering the labor market en masse. This added labor competition for less available jobs, not to mention less paying jobs due to the nature of service oriented economies, meant men and wmen were destined to isolation (alienation), poverty (exploitation) and resentment towards the other (class division). What was created was a global market to further the share of market power capitalists would have for themselves. By outsourcing not only jobs overseas but also domestic tasks to paid employees like baby sitters, or even new technologies like dishwashers to purchase, capitalists ensnared the masses to become dependent on the market and their products which they essentially force you to purchase in order to exist in the modern economy. We have outsourced not just our jobs but also our tasks and responsibilities. Everyone is now dependent on the global market. No one is or can be self sufficient as a family/community anymore. We have ourselves become commodities to be bought, sold and replaced.

Happiness will come on it's own of you have live a functional, stable, fulfilling life. Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs is a real thing. There's also the fact that less men are in the workforce in general.

  140. Well it sure is good then that a majority of the Left want public college to be free. Then there won't be debt. But if a person advocates for that the Right goes insane. Though I acknowledge many on the Left have no real clue what they want to do with the relationship aspects of culture, there are some who believe in a more communal environment where polyamory and shit is the norm (something I don't at all advocate for) and then there are people such as myself who believe that family values are actually an extension of socialist theory and philosophy. We see the family unit as the smallest example of a collective, of a co-op and that this social unit is to be expanded into the community, then the state, then the country and then the world. Socialism if done properly could save the family from late stage capitalism and consumerism where rugged individuals are forced to compete for resources and strive alone rather than work together and pair up.
