  6. I just read an article today about snails evolving different traits depending on the small island they grow up on. In 30 years, entirely new sub species evolved different sized shells with different color patterns. If it applies to snails it certainly applies to us.

  10. Europeans have a lot of neanderthal dna. Neanderthals have been found to be very social and collaborative. Makes sense we're different from a group with zero neanderthal dna. Though that dna presence alone can't explain the difference.

  14. Russia doesn't hate Ukraine. They want Ukraine to be an important territory for agriculture and manufacturing, like it was during the Soviet Union. Ukraine was infinitely better off when it was part of the USSR. Most countries were. After it's fall, Eastern Europe fell.

  19.  @edenbreckhouse  Marx was certainly not the creator of conflict theory. That would go to either his educator, George Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, or it would go to Thomas Hobbes. Perhaps even it could go to Niccolo Machiavelli. Either way, various forms of theories surrounding power dynamics have existed for centuries. The Art of War by Sun Zu gives lip service to power dynamics throughout. Marx's conflict theory explained power dynamics from the perspective of ownership over the current mode of production. Who worked to sustain themselves and who sustained themselves via those who worked for them. Class conflict itself is Marx explaining how the ownership of the factors of production and the means of production (aka the resources and the property required to produce goods) gives an exclusive power over society as everyone else must either work or pay those owners for the ability to use them. Feminism existed before Marx but of course manipulated and revised his writings to their own gain. Feminism has always ridden the coattails of other movements or revolutionary change. Wether industrial capitalism, socialism or even the civil rights movement. Feminists always make movements to be about themselves, ultimately distracting from what the initial arguments set out to change. Feminism ignores Marx's key takeaway that capitalism withers away all those old systems (such as patriarchy) and progresses past new ones before they can take root. Antonio Gramsci refers to this as capitalist hegemony where capitalism must be by default the only culture that exists. It must control our desires lest it fall to the power of worker solidarity, national identity, family loyalty etc. Also, Engles and Marx were not against the family or marriage. They were against bourgeois marriage, which they viewed correctly as nothing more than a business contract devoid of higher substance like community unification or mutual love.

  20. Im a very "left wing" person in the sense that i advocate for a more democratic society based around social ownership. But im also not a feminist because i dont believe in gender 'equality' and im also a nationalist who recognizes that nations are determined by their people and if the people change then so does the nation and the contract that upholds it.

  29. No one is saying everyone will have the same outcome as Bolt, Jordan or Tyson. What is being said is that all those men had the best training, money invested in them to become greater than they otherwise would have had, and the opportunity to prove themselves. We don't do that in our society. The majority enter the world with almost no opportunity and almost no investment in themselves to prove their abilities, then we lambast them for "failing" despite never having the same opportunities as others who were lucky enough to prove themselves.

  32. Here's how it should work. Any treatment of a foreigner by the NHS must be paid by the country of origin of that foreigner to reimburse the NHS for caring for that nations citizen. If the nation won't or can't reimburse the NHS then all ppl from that country of origin are prohibited from either entering the UK or receiving healthcare while here.

  37. Most non white countries are ethnically homogeneous though and they aren't exactly what we would call "successful" or "civilized". The truth is that while homogeneity is essential, what's more essential is the ethnicity of the group that remains homogeneous. Blaque communities and countries are homogeneous, they aren't "working best".

  45. Capitalism loves cheap labor and it also loves disrupting unity and community loyalty. Diversity is pushed by the largest investment firms for a reason; it divides. They talk about class solidarity and use working class, pro labor talking points but they are manipulating you. There can be so class solidarity when a bunch of competing ethnic groups and language barriers get inevitably get in the way. It's alot easier to unify as a class of ppl when those ppl are all from the same national/ethnic/cultural background.

  47. Its impossible for the native working class to revolt (or for that revolt to be successful) if the ruling elites keep importing other, foreign groups to shake up things. It creates a distraction and it also prevents the native population from being able to use strikes or boycotting efforts because now you have a whole population of immigrants that undermine any collective bargaining efforts made by the locals. Immigration is what Unions used to call "scabs".
