  2. Went to Taco Bell last night (Dec 17 2024) and ordered 2 cheesy gordita crunches and 1 loaded griller. No drink, just those three items. How much did i pay? 17.78. Almost 20$ for three items. When i got home i had to put cheese on them because there was practically none on my gorditas. I was reminded why i stopped going to Taco Bell three years ago. Its too expensive, the employees are terrible and don't even look at you when handing you your food, the size of the drinks has shrunk, and the amount of cheese you get is basically nothing. You could order no cheese on one item and cheese could be on the other but you'd not be able to tell the difference. Then there is the change in interior. Its so bland and soulless. Not to mention all the menua items they got rid of including the fiery locos taco.

  4.  @whitmo  well it's certainly failed to catch on in the US. Thank goodness. I hate self checkout. Why should I do for free what someone used to get paid to do?

  8. I hate those kiosks and adamantly refuse to use them. I don't wanna touch em, I don't wanna do the job of a cashier and I don't wanna stand awkwardly trying to figure out what the line is and where it starts. Mcdonald's looks awful now btw. They don't look like places a kid should go, they look like prisons.

  12.  @graceanderson7933  a "decent size demographic"? You and I have two very different definitions of "decent size". And I don't want things to be more convenient for vegetarians/vegans because they don't want things more convenient for anyone else.

  13. Or, perhaps the Netherlands is a tiny country with few ppl in comparison to the US and has different laws, different ppl and therefore different culture.

  14. I think labeling oat milk or any other kind of milk from nuts should be considered false advertising and therefore illegal. Also, im of the impression that essential needs like meat and milk should be partially or completely state owned since we subsidize it so much, and often can't trust the private meat industry to safely and ethically source their products.

  16. Labor is cut back by automation, wages remain low, yet costs continue to increase. Prices have only gone up, not down. Outsourcing, immigration and automation was supposed to lower the price of goods, but ever since these policies were implemented in the 80s inflation has been constant. Seems fishy.
