  8. Socialism and communism will never have anything to do with state or national control over the economy. The whole point is to limit classes and central power, instead giving more of that power to the individuals and the people. Communism doesn't stifle innovation. People have never invented things to make money, they do it to increase standards of living and leisure. Tesla needed money to build and create his inventions , because of the society and the structure that it was built on. But he wanted it to be available to all people, equal access to it's use. Very communist if you ask me. The standard of living has raised but that doesn't mean people are keeping up with those standards. I'm a market socialist, cautiously a democratic socialist although I prefer the over arching left wing market libertarian title. I don't like being strapped down. But my point is, cooperation is key, competition is an excuse to outperform the other an focus on profit rater than productivity. The economy isnt a sport. It shouldn't be treated like one. I'm not technically an anarchist, I believe the government is a necessary evil. And some industries, ones that aren't commodities or consumer goods, should be available to all. The reason taxes exist is to redistribute wealth and provide access to certain services in a capitalist system. Capitalism gets replaced, no taxes are needed. Capitalism has always failed. Socialism failed because the system changed. People began taking power and wanted to maintain it. but some form of socialism has existed since the dawn of man. It is humans natural conclusion. But capitalism has successfully made it so that trying to imagine a world without it wouldn't be a world at all. This is of course false. As a reformist, I propose a social democracy founded on equal access to health, education, a socal dividend/Ubi and protections for the consumers, workers and the environment. This should then over time allow us to transition into a socialist economy.

  20. So conservatives complain about false sexual allegations but then do the same thing? Seems like nothing new in the right hemisphere. There are alot of false allegations, but actual rapes are probably much higher and its sad women are afraid to speak up, they shouldn't be. Im still very weary of religious people, Muslims in particular but i also understand that just like followers of other faiths, not all are oppressive bigots. BUT, i still think religion is stupid and religion distracts us from reality and how to better it. Religion needs to die. But not via killing supporters of certain faiths. How can Jews be liberal but not support gay rights according to their own religion? Im assuming its Orthodox Jews who are more conservative. Polygamy is illegal unless its under a religious pretense, definitely a separation of church and state... Polygamy is such a gross bastardization of the social bonds between individuals. 200 kids... that is not functional or healthy. How do they repopulate without eventually breeding with a half sibling? Also, consecration is not like communism... that's authoritarianism and state socialism. Neither can be classified under the definition of communism. I'm not a communist btw. When i first started watching the anti SJW channels i thought Gavin was funny, though he would go a bit too far even for me, i just thought he was trolling. I don't think he is. He does say some truthful things but that doesn't make him a good person or someone to listen to. His Proud Boys are pieces of shit. They talk about how Antifa are libtards and pussy beta soyboys yet they feel so strong when they beat up these beta soyboys. And they beat them up by ganging up on them. I don't think Facebook should ban them though. I don't think that is the answer. The Proud Boy who recorded that video was black btw, and Tiny (their version of Captain America or Ares) is not white. Many members arent. I dont think they are racist, but they definitely have some closed minded views and shame people who are failing because of the rigged system, yet they are doing the same thing but for a different reason. Its dumb. They are sexist though, and they do support an unnatural and dangerous hierarchy in society.

  25. I have spoken to this at length with others online. Im honestly tired of this story. Its not border securities fault. Its her parents fault. There is no getting around that. You will try, you will fail. It is an issue that Border control overlooked her illness and didn't recognize it. She received medical attention and procedures that i wouldn't have access to, as a citizen without paying thousands of dollars. If we as citizens don't have that, i have an issue with illegal immigrants getting it. Though im not saying they shouldn't. The separation of parent and child is simple, adults go into adult facilities. Children who cannot be confirmed as the child of these adults will NOT and SHOULD not be held with them nor in an adult facility. Its not a fucking immoral system. Im against for profit systems and cheap immigrant labor, i think those businesses should be fined for hiring them and i don't want them here anyway. I don't understand the issue with this! The parents should be blamed, and the children are victims of it but that is not an excuse to let these illegal immigrants off the hook. "Oh your kid died, im so sorry... oh wait, this is your fault. Time to go to jail now, you piece of shit." We need to reform ice and Border control, help it work with immigrants but not without losing their toughness, we should be tough on immigration, especially now. When we fix our own shit and help the millions of people who don't have healthcare or adequate shelter who are citizens, THEN we can focus on immigration. Until then, immigration is a distraction, its hurting us more than we already are or at least not making matters better and it needs to stop being prioritized. A child died, im sorry. I realize the horrible fact that she will never be able to experience anything ever again, it bothers me. But that is not an excuse not to be tough on illegal immigrants and give them any leniency. We need to stop everyone else trying to come in. SHUT DOWN the borders for now. And lets focus on the assholes here and see if hey should be given a path to citizenship or not. Lets make the legal process quicker and easier. But after we get a handle of our own shit.

  28. Lately I've been questioning whether I should unsubscribe from you David, which sucks because I used to really like you despite our occasional differences. But idk man, this has got to be one of the dumber arguments I've heard. David, boycotting is not the same thing as cancel culture. Cancel culture attacks individuals. Boycotting goes after businesses and last time I checked we on the Left do not believe businesses have the same rights as individual people. Boycotting is voluntary. Cancel culture of another person is not. I'll use Stephan Molynew for an example. The guy is a closeted ethnonationalist and his politics are awful. However, that is irrelevant. He is a person who has the right to a platform. If you choose not to buy his books and actively tell people not to buy it and/or leave nasty reviews of it like people did to Rave Dubin, then that's fine. But devoiding him of a platform is not the answer. Now how are we supposed to criticize his opinions when we aren't able to access them? How can we show others how stupid he is when his content has been removed? Deplatforming and cancel culture are the modern day equivalent of book burning. If you don't agree then you are simply wrong, that's not an opinion that's an objective fact. We are labeling things we don't like and destroying them from the public and making it harder if not impossible to access This is objectively authoritarian and regressive. If you on the Left support segregation and banning a person for saying something YOU find offensive then that is by definition regressive. Why? Because we've progressed beyond these abhorrent values; at least in theory. Social media has allowed cancel culture to thrive. It's killing creativity, debate and free thought. That's simply not something you can logically argue. Cancel culture is a plague that makes the Left appear like the bad guy and makes the Right a group of victims and we all know the right loves playing the victim. It is regressive and inherently authoritarian to ban the speech and the platform that permits said speech to be delivered.

  82. I do not believe you can have one without the other. For what is the point to be free from imposition if you are not free to pursue or have access to whatever will allow you to reach your goal? Not only are your negative liberties being infringed by your inability to let's say, have access to healthcare but your positive liberty to life and the pursuit of happiness is being impacted. Then we reach the topic of personal autonomy, which is traditionally what freedom entails. The right to personal autonomy and choice, the freedom to make a choice (positive liberty) which is essential as part of our autonomy, will often collide (negative liberty)with another individuals right to personal autonomy. One person's positive right to choose will infringe on another's right to choose and that will infringe upon their negative rights to be free from some external force. Since autonomy is assumed to the goal when looking for freedom and since autonomy means the right to self rule aka positive liberty and exempt from external control aka negative liberty, then it means that on order to have freedom you must have both positive and negative rights. Both impede upon the other and collide in a vicious cycle. Yet they compliment each other. We must find the balance. The second amendment for instance is a positive right. The right to keep and bear arms. But limiting that freedom is infringing upon your negative rights. However, in my personal view the freedom/autonomy/right to posses a firearm should not supersede my freedom, personal autonomy and right not to be afflicted by your firearm. Both positive and negative liberties are being infringed for both me and the owner of said firearm at the same time. Ultimately this is a conundrum, one which has no definitive answer. Ultimately true freedom and absolute freedom is impossible to achieve regardless of which type of freedom you advocate for.

  89. This is so difficult for me because I've been trying to figure out how to explain myself to people when explaining my political identity. I wouldn't call myself a populist, though I have populist leanings. I tend to be more culturally conservative but I'm vastly Left wing on economic issues. I support worker solidarity across borders but I don't want those workers here in the US, I want worker solidarity to be global...which means I want those workers to remain in their countries. I am not very liberal socially. I don't support or agree with the typical cultural values of post modernism. I despise post modernism. I support the family. I don't like drugs and don't agree with legalizing them (weed and psychedelics are ok). I don't support reparations or affirmative action. I am not an LGBT ally, though I'm not antagonistic towards them either. I just don't believe in multiple genders or the ability to identify as whatever we want, especially with children. Take Dwyane Wade's son Zion for instance who now identifies Zaya; I'm sorry but I'm very hostile to that nonsense. Another conservative aspect to me is I have a very tooth for a tooth ideology. Prison is for punishment and removing bad people from society, not rehabilitation. This is why I believe the prison population should be much smaller. But even with my conservative leanings, I'm vastly Left wing. I consider myself a market socialist/democratic socialist. I support a total overhaul of the economy into a post capitalist society where the people and the workers have power over themselves and resources. I'm just saying that while I'm a Left winger overall and love your content as well as The Hill: Rising, I find myself agreeing with Saagar often on certain issues while also disagreeing with him on many issues. So the populist argument often discussed nowadays doesn't really have a place for me.

  207. David, get ready to get crushed because you're being an idiot and the reason I'm so mad at you is because I like to you. So when you make these ridiculous points I get really frustrated. AOC is not being "pragmatic" as you called it. She is being naive and foolish. She is not pushing for the agenda you and l largely support. Instead she is pushing for an anti- Republican strategy. That is something we on the left have been complaining about for years now. The DNC cares more about being anti Trump and not being Republican than it does actually fighting for the American individual. She is not changing the game she is expanding it by supporting centrist blue bloods with ideas that got us here in the first place instead of ACTUALLY changing the system by campaigning for progressive upstarts. We supported her because she was an outsider, someone uncorrupted by the establishment. A year and a half later she becomes the establishment, fires her staff and replaced them with the establishment and then backs incumbents or neglects to support incoming progressive candidates to change the seats in power which help maintain the establishment. There is no working within the establishment David. I thought that too. I said, of you can't beat them, join them. Try your best to change things from the inside. But then I realized that this powerhouse of a party will never concede. They will pretend to support policies that become popular but then turn around and say rhe opposite and aggressively push for the people who actively state that they would not pass a M4ALL bill. That is why we are angry. We are not betraying AOC. She betrayed us. She has forgotten who got her in there to begin with. She beat the odds and made the establishment scared. I hate to break it to you but when those in power are no longer scared it's because they know they have nothing to worry about. Think about that. And then change your opinion. Also, the vast majority of people voting don't even know who Bernie's advisors are... And like you accurately states about a year ago, the American people are stupid.

  221. Fuck paper straws. Lightbulb advancement is great though, saves energy and money. But fuck corporations trying to force me, the consumer, tonuse your stupid, inefficient, unhelpful and decrepit sack of shit for a straw. I refuse to eat anywhere that has them, which luckily is very few places. And fuck people who say that planes are gonna be outlawed... No, the energy they use will be altered. People still need to fly to get across the planet. And if anyone actually is suggesting that ait travel go away then that person needs to be considered unfit to hold office. And no, I won't stop eating meat and no i won't be shamed by dumb liberals for enjoying meat. Meat isn't the issue, it's what we feed the cattle and how we handle our agriculture that's the problem, not the animals themselves. Local farms and natural fed cattle largely solves this issue. And I've been saying for years that private companies caught hiring illegal immigrants should face penalties. First one is a fine, second one is a bigger fine and a third time is the revoking of their business practice, effectively shutting them out of their own corporation. As for the illegal immigrants afraid to say anything, they should be afraid. They should not fucking be here. They are not the victims. They forced themselves into this country without going through the proper channels. I have no sympathy for them. If you are illegal you need to leave or, prove how long you've been here and you can be given permanent residency. But full citizenship? Fuck no . I do not support encouraging people to come here and come to the conclusion that it's okay if they enter illegaly because the Democrats will love me and take me in anyway because they know I'll vote for them.

  234. When it comes to a middle ground I believe that "middle" ground in when we agree that victims of rape and incest should be allowed to receive an abortion. Now I believe this is problematic because there are so many other reasons someone might not be ready to have a kid. To which a dumb right wingers would say, "then you should have worn a condom!" Live with your mistake. To which someone might respond, "we did use a condom but condoms break and we aren't always aware of it". To which the right wingers would say, "then you should not have sex!" Ultimately proving they actually don't care about the facts but merely a principal they hold dear. Now there isn't necessarily anything wrong with this. I don't support casual sex either. Infact I'm hotly against it but people will do it and its not smart to prevent a woman who is not in a committed relationship to raise a child on her own. Both for financial reasons but also raising a child as a single parent is very likely to prove damaging to children. But we never talk about monogamous couples who aren't ready to have a kid but have sex. The conservatives would say wait til marriage but then would also shame the married couple for wanting to get an abortion even though neither are ready to be parents for whatever reason. Also we should not teach people that contraceptives, condoms and birth control are excuses to be promiscuous. Some people will be, and they have their role to play in society, such as porn and prostitution but that should be a minority of people, especially women since they have far more value. Men should not be whores either. It's harmful to themselves and to women. We should respect ourselves and each other. Casual sex is an insult to that. But it does have it's role. Restraint is necessary if we want an orderly, free society where things work out to our best interest most often. Promiscuity threatens this.

  293. Just a few things to say, not much though. We just had many women enter the Federal level of government. This shows that it's not a systematic oppressive force against women. The more women who campaign or sign up to run the more likely one will be voted in. Not only that but she already stated herself that representation for women at the state level. This shows that it is not gender discrimination that is at play. Like she also pointed out, the majority of people in higher political power are those who have elite educational backgrounds, inherited the power via their parents and their parents affiliates or that persons income status. Most working class people will not be able to have the capital to run a strong campaign. As we know, the working class is dominated by men. So this isn't a gender issue but a class issue. Americans regardless of political leaning report being curious and interested in having more women in power. So it's not gender discrimination. We do need to establish equality of opportunity, then we can see who makes it and who doesn't. Now for something's there needs to be a more equality of outcome because just because you have opportunity doesn't guarantee anything. And I don't believe in an every man for himself, social Darwinism society. So certain things will need to be accessable to all and owned publicly or collectively. And as for the cookie analogy, it's not a good one because as she mentioned you are adding something to the cookie that the manufacturers don't necessarily want to put in, but for the sake of public opinion they are put in there. Problem is, I don't want any nuts or other ingredients in my chocolate chip cookies. It's a chocolate chip cookie, the master race of cookies. So no, I don't want any added ingredients in there. So not a good analogy because if the government is a cookie and chocolate chips are men, then and I most people won't want other ingredients (aka women) added to the cookie.

  299. I hate how he shits on black people, instead of trying to change their culture and give them better opportunities so they don't have that culture anyway. Convince politicians to try and change it by strengthening the local economy and granting them better access to resources, but that goes for any community regardless of race. Male and man are the same thing. I also understand that there is such a thing as normal, but my issue is believing that abnormality is wrong. I don't agree with the transgender anti-science bullshit but i don't want them to be harassed or discriminated against. They have a psychological disorder, but that doesn't mean they are inhuman. He shouldn't be teasing her voice. Listen to his... but regardless, your voice does not change your intellect. As for Kavanaugh, i don't believe there is sufficient evidence, but i don't agree he is fit for Justice. The right says things over and over and over again too. The high rape count in colleges are not as high as it was accused of though. But that doesn't mean it doesn't happen and that it isn't a big deal. I'm a straight white man who advocates for socialism. So fucking what? Whats wrong with it? Its not Venezuela or Cuba or the USSR. The government providing a platform for everyone is not dependency, its a support system that allows people to make their own decisions and learn from them without falling into destitution. But socialism tends to be anti authoritarian so, i don't understand the idea that the government controls the economy. Women make false claims all the time and rarely get convicted. But false rape claims are not as bad as the actual rape cases. And just because the legal system proves you innocent or doesn't convict you does not mean society will not disown you. Look at Hollywood. Jesse is like a real life version of Uncle Ruckus. David asks if Jesse has any real and important topics to discuss, immediately starts talking about football players kneeling... There is nothing wrong with turning your back against the country if the country is making faulty decisions, or at the very least your perception of faulty decisions. Free speech. To be fair, Kanye wasn't saying physical slavery was a choice. He was talking about the mental enslavement. Capitalism enslaves us all though. Black people are individuals like other people, and they tend to support masculinity as a pride thing in their community and are averse to homosexuals. Lots of violence against homosexuals in the black community. Like anyone in any group, there are radical gay rights supports. The great white hope? HAHAHA. Funny, just because its a weird line. Nothing anti white about it, just a random and odd statement. The majority of illegal immigrants needs to deport them. We definitely need to work with their countries so they don't have to come here. Not that we shouldn't allow people in who seek to move here. But we cant just keep bringing in alot of people with all the problems we currently have with our own citizens. A wall is not the issue. Maybe castle turret like structures spread out across the border to keep eyes on illegal crossing. I also don't understand the hate for the separation issue. Its for the safety of the kids, we cant confirm those children are theirs and we can't put children in adult holding facilities. As for the black and slow thing and needing short answers, have you spoken to Jordan Peterson? Not that i hate JP but he can answer a question in five hours. Jobs are doing better. The jobs are shit, and the pay is shit. The national polls lied, she did not win the popular vote in Michigan (which was proven) and she most likely did it in multiple states. Im in South Carolina and when i voted i wore a "Feel the Bern" shirt, everyone including black women loved my shirt and also claimed to vote for Bernie. The thought that those 2 hours were blips and not predictive of the rest of the voting process, is ridiculous. Understanding definitions is very important in a debate. Say for instance, misrepresenting socialism. Also, fuck slut walking. Don't fuck sluts though. That's gross. We all know a slut when we see one.

  300. This is not as small a portion of the left as you keep claiming, David. I wish you could see that. But this girl is an SJW, that culture now has significant cultural influence in business and media. Largely because capitalism feeds off it. But it's popular enough so that capitalism knows it should feed off it. And to those who get angry or confused when someone is called an SJW with the intent of being derogatory it is not because they actually fight for social justice. They claim they do but they do not. Instead they victimize people who are not part of the problem and divide people by race and gender regardless of their intent that is what they are doing. Also I'd like to point out that she tried to use anthropology as a way to support her claim. As soon as she did her argument was immediately dead in the water. Because anthropologists don't calculate race as a factor due to the fact that they do not believe race itself is. scientific. Race is merely a skin color, a pigmentation of the skin. What matters is ethnicity because that can help determine where the person came from. Someone from Russia will have a slightly different skeleton (specifically the skull) than someone from England. Yet both are white or are considered such. In Africa the differences between people is staggering even if it's in the same country. So she clearly does not know much about anthropology. Another question, if a black female is rich and is a lawyer/politician does she not have systemic power over others? I'd argue she does, we can use Kamala Harris as a perfect example. Wheras a homeless white male (the most likely to be homeless) had nothing, no social power or influence. Class and access to resources matters much more than anything. BTW, you were unrelenting. You DESTROYED her with FACTS And LOGIC.
