A man at his 78, under a level of stress that a 58 years old would not handle without compromising his working capabilities, and also under huge threat to be sentenced to jail for the rest of his life, losing all his assets, starts to show sign of losing mental capabilities. Trump probably does not sleep well, take some drugs to function and all that is affecting his memory and all his mental performance.   5. Trump is the useful idiot of a bunch of very rich guys, fascists and racists to their core, who have been financing the GOP and the disruptive extremists under MAGA umbrella. This guys do not show their faces, some names are known but they hardly do any interviews, not even to the press outlets they fund. Murdoch is one of the few very ugly faces everyone recognize. These guys meet, conspire and strategize. But none of them can actually show the face in open political debates. So, they see Trump as a manageable egomaniac, stupid enough to not see what actually is taking place, and deluded enough to believe in his own countless lies. These guys are looking for a replacement, because Trump, in a way or another, given his mental and physical decline, is a sinking ship. These guys know they cannot move away from Trump now, because no one could occupy the vacuum. So, Vance is someone’s bet, but he is still immature and operating in the sycophant mood. Elon Musk, for his political ignorance, seems to be a good bet for occupying the useful idiot post. But Elon’s vanity and eagerness to set into the lane lights does not inspire trust. Shows volatility and looseness. His immigrant status also disqualifies him. So, once Trump is defeated and in his way to jail, these guys will be desperate to find the replacement, the one irresponsible and reckless enough to carry the fascist flag forward.

Fortunately US is not in the condition the Weimar Republic was. But still the risk is real and a lot of work needs to be done.   13. The other explanation is the pusillanimity of these guys. Rubio certainly would be scared to death to have Trump attacking him the vile way Trump does. Rubio would not know how to deal with his base, if Trump started talking about him in all the demeaning ways Trump does. Losing his job, his prestige, his businesses in consequence of Trump’s attacks would sound terrifying to him. Just a coward, in other words.
