  1. If the average Uber ride costs $2.50/mi in urban areas, then this math is still a fantastic improvement over the current rideshare model. And that would include a revenue split with Tesla which you didn't mention. If the Robotaxi ride ultimately costs an average of $1.25/mi, then there is more than enough juice to make the entire endeavor worthwhile for all parties involved. Moreover, I suspect that Tesla's lower priced vehicles (whenever they come) will make the math even more compelling.
