@eaaeeeea You forgot brand loyalty, people who want to drive bmw, chevy or mercedes will buy those cars even if tesla is better.

@zanemiracle6121 I was talking about when bmw (for example) has full EV lineup in 2035. Then if you haven't upgraded to EV yet, then people may favor that brand of car they are currently driving.

@zanemiracle6121 Being first and dominating is some market for long doesn't prevent you from falling behind. Nokia & Intel are good examples, even if you have massive profits, best product and 80% of the market then boom comes amd and Intel is trash now.

@shugthehornyhaggis They kinda did but also didn't. Lets take Toyota for example, who launched prius waay before tesla was even made. In these 18 years that tesla has existed, Toyota has not entered the ev game. They don't see anyone as a threat and stick with their plan.

@shugthehornyhaggis That's why I said tesla kicked some butts, but bot everyone's. Toyota plays the long game, let the market decided what it wants then produce that car for market. When everyone wants EV, Toyota will make one with patented solid state battery and kill everyone else who spend big money to get there only to realize that they paved the way for big companies like Toyota.
