By the way, the Russian air force and navy relied on Ukrainian parts. And many Ukrainian engineers helped improve or create Russian weapons. And the very last Russian space rocket under development was cancelled because Ukraine was supposed to help build it. Kazakhstan was already preparing a spaceport for it, but the war began. Recently, an engineer who worked online for the Russians and helped them create drones was accused of treason and imprisoned.

Russia has been hitting Ukraine with nuclear-capable missiles since day one. Ukraine has hit its own territory with American missiles, but that territory was included in the Russian constitution as Russian. But Russia actually has a last chance for a safe escalation - to hit its own territory, in the Kursk region. But if a nuclear strike could solve some Russian problems and not create worse ones, Putin would have done it long ago.

The arms market would be a great addition to what was supposed to start in 2014. Ukraine tried to break corrupt ties with Russia and cleanse the government of oligarchs and politicians subordinate to Moscow. And get on the path to joining the EU. This would have led to large investments, especially due to cheap labor and resources. Including the development of gas fields, shale gas in the Donbas and the Black Sea. Ukraine could have replaced half of the gas market dominated by Russia. Russia, by annexing Crimea and the hybrid war in the Donbas, protected itself from competition. And then in 2015 in Syria, it protected Assad in exchange for guarantees that the gas pipeline from Qatar would not be laid to Europe. Russia also prevents Caspian Sea countries from selling gas.

Russians are confused, shocked and don't know what to answer when I ask them where the 18-year-old soldier was when the war started. Because he was sitting at a school desk. At that time, patriotic camps were actively created in Russia. The parents of the children and all Russians simply reveled in militarism and the imperial idea, not really thinking that their children would be sent to die. They thought that Ukraine would be quickly defeated and everything would be over, but they would have time to win social points with their demonstrative patriotism. Now they are not so happy when their children have finished school and are required to undergo compulsory military service, and not smart children sign a contract. Sometimes the police force them, giving innocent people a choice: to be raped and beaten and go to prison or to sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense.

It is especially offensive for Ukraine, the former third most powerful country in the world, to be banned from defending itself by the US, which guaranteed security in exchange for giving up its weapons.

In fact, it sounds even more dangerous than "spend more of your lives to save our money." It's more like "Defeat Russia yourself. And then we'll support you if you succeed." It literally makes such an ally useless. It's hard to say what exactly these politicians forgot, that Ukraine is a victim who was attacked and is being tried to commit genocide, or that they are asking the poorest country in Europe to defeat the world's second army. Probably the first option, since they are asking both sides to stop. Without even trying to realize that they are asking the victim to stop defending themselves, equating this with asking the aggressor to stop attacking.

I'll add about inflation in exchange for soldiers. In Russia, they offer so much money for participation in the war that most Russians won't earn in 10 years, no matter how much they save. Salaries from 15 to 30 thousand per month did not surprise anyone in Russia, and for a contract with the Ministry of Defense they pay from 2 to 3 million.

Maybe Ukrainians would like to negotiate or surrender. The problem with surrender is that they will be forbidden to be Ukrainians. Everyone will have to admit that they were mistaken, misled and were in fact Russian. Those who refuse will end up in the basement with a soldering iron and a stun gun. Anyone who wants to speak Ukrainian, read Ukrainian books, listen to Ukrainian music or have their children study in Ukrainian will be punished and deprived of parental rights. And their children will be given up for adoption to Russians. This is already happening in the occupied territories. Those who insist on negotiations and concessions do not want to think about the captured population. And even more so, they want to forget about the killed, torture, and destruction. Negotiations are not necessary for peace. What should Ukraine say? "Hello Russia, I am ready for you to stop destroying me" Something like that?

At the end it is well noted that Ukraine was the third most powerful country on the planet. It agreed not to become a player in global politics because it had no ambitions and experience, not being accustomed to independence.

Some people don't even want to think about the fact that they will get heat in their home, and Ukraine will get a missile in their home. It's as if something physically prevents their brains from thinking about it, from understanding that this is a real war like in history books. If such people tried to blame Ukrainians and argue with them on the Internet, they did not even think that their opponent may have already died during the next daily bombing of Ukraine. For the sake of economic convenience, Russia continues to be financed and supplied. And sometimes actions are taken against Ukraine. Some are against arms supplies, despite the fact that not a single one of their soldiers was harmed, and Russia has become weaker. Others block Ukraine's agricultural trade, although thanks to Ukraine they do not have to grow their food in mined fields. Not to mention that blockading a country at war is helping the enemy. People should ask themselves about many things, "Is this helping the victim or the aggressor?", even being neutral.
