  16. Just recently I watched an interview with her at the Kennedy Center..and the thing that gave me pause in her remarks was that she voted against the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. Liz Cheney is an ultra conservative Republican. Her political views and affiliations haven't changed. She loves her country and holds fast to our Constitution...and is committed to our democracy. With that being said... it's important for all of to think about what we not only want our country to be as we move forward..but what we NEED it to be. What we want and need our government to reflect, to stand up for. There are human rights principles that NEED TO APPLY TO EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN IN THE US WITHOUT EXCEPTION. Republicans are opposed to that. That's just the truth. There's no 'kinder-gentler' Republicans in the Republican party... and there hasn't been for ENDLESS DECADES if there ever was at all.
