They are a co-equal branch with the executive branch of the US government. THINK ABOUT THE SELF-SERVING SELF-ENRICHING CIRCUS unfolding on a daily basis in the Congress. They receive a six figure taxpayer provided salary, benefits package, travel expenses, and retirement pension. They 'work' 146.7 days out of 365 days a year. Do the math. Nearly all of them are millionaires. But supposedly they 'know' the issues affecting the majority of Americans and are committed to implementing the priorities of the American people. 😏

If you can keep an entire population in debt they'll have fewer choices won't they? If you can convince them that 'wants' are the same thing as 'needs' debt income for those who primarily benefit will become ceaseless.
