  1. Yup! I wish people would pay more attention to news like this. China has been paying money to influence the media and education in the US and in other countries for decades. But people refuse to believe it, and think it must be some kind of crazy "conspiracy theory." Once you become a revenue source for a news outlet, they want to keep you, so what happens is the media stops publishing stories that might cause China to stop buying ad space. It's like "Brought to you by Pfizer." Everybody wanted the Pfizer ad revenue, so they didn't have anything bad to say about Pfizer. FWIW, China began paying money to US schools in the late 80s, turning them toward socialism. If you don't believe it, look it up.
