  1. The US can't turn around China's investment invasion by making their own investments in these countries. That's ridiculous. Countries like Brazil are playing with fire and are going to get burned. For that matter, the US itself is so heavily dependent upon China that it will get burned too.

  2. China has their sights on the whole world, including Antarctica. So of course they are trying to take over South America. They have an interest, for example, in all strategic waterways, including the Panama Canal. I wouldn't be shocked if they were the sponsors behind that new young president in Chile. IMO, every country ought to completely sever association with China. the CCP is like a cancer on the world, and the solution is to cut it out. As for China being like an octopus, I would say no, it's more like a HYDRA.
