  1. China is advancing in the Solomon Islands, the Philippines, and Australia. This in addition to New Zealand, which they already own (politically). Biden is a well-known tool of China. I don't have a ton of hope for the Quad. Hopefully Japan and India can hold steady. Taiwan, Japan, and India are enough to prevent an invasion of Taiwan. But they can't stop China strengthening itself elsewhere. As for Chinese infrastructure like the subway cars failing ... that's how Chinese manufacturing works. It's not built to last. No doubt, this summer we'll return to watching the Three Gorges Dam to see if it holds.
