  1. Due to various forms of corruption in China, the total population has long been overstated, saying it was 1.4 billion. It was actually slightly below 1 billion before the virus. Since then, China has lost a whopping 100 million+ people, with many of them being extremely poor people who received no care, and being poor they vanished without notice by social media. With so many recent passings in urban and rural areas, it is possible the total population of China will be edging closer to 800 million by the end of this pandemic wave. Just looking at urban incinerators, at least 100 million urban people have passed, and it is assumed that about as many poor rural people have died as well, and were buried.
