If Gen Z is hitting the late teen / early 20s years, it's very normal to feel alone at that time of life, and to question the meaning of life. It's probably mainly hormonal ... just the way our bodies are at that time, and probably part of nature's way to get us to start families. Women, in particular, would be feeling nesting urges, and heightened insecurity, while men probably feel hormonally like they need to prove themselves. There are other social factors affecting us as well, as there always are, because the world keeps on spinning. But let's not overlook the obvious, which is the stage of life: the challenges of young adulthood.
