If Gen Z is hitting the late teen / early 20s years, it's very normal to feel alone at that time of life, and to question the meaning of life. It's probably mainly hormonal ... just the way our bodies are at that time, and probably part of nature's way to get us to start families. Women, in particular, would be feeling nesting urges, and heightened insecurity, while men probably feel hormonally like they need to prove themselves. There are other social factors affecting us as well, as there always are, because the world keeps on spinning. But let's not overlook the obvious, which is the stage of life: the challenges of young adulthood.

@owliria_sage Not to pile pressure on, but I hope your stable relationship is one that becomes marriage. Women are being told they can wait until 30 for marriage, but there are many reasons to reject this idea as unworkable. Marriages seem to be better for women when they marry by about 25 at the latest, and that's largely because it takes a lot of time and effort to have kids, and it's best to start that early. The idea of traveling and doing all sorts of stuff wihle you're "young and free" isn't really anywhere near as big of a deal in life as having and raising the kids. A life where your main achievement is "I went to France" is a pretty empty life.

@owliria_sage I don't know I could possibly explain a complex issue like that. It will have to suffice to say that if either person in the couple is a hedonist, it's unlikely the duo will last. If the two are moral people, they can always make it work. Again, best wishes to you. Not looking to continue chatting, though.
