  1. IMO, the ONLY way to truly end the war is to restore Ukrainian sovereignty to all of the lands Ukraine had in 2010 (before annexation actions by Russia). Diplomats fancy they are saving lives by developing half baked treaties, but they are NOT. WW1 was "ended" with a bad treaty that set up WW2. And the end of WW2 set up the Cold War, with its massive losses due to communism in the east. I think you can make the case that diplomats like to end wars prematurely simply to expand the war profits, because now the sides can retrench and reload for an even worse war in the future. So don't let yourself be conned into thinking diplomacy and war are two opposite sides. They are working together to force more war. Find a natural end to the war, that is best.
