  1. Executives for DC made the mistake of thinking they had to "catch up." They didn't. They needed to get solid base hits before hitting a home run. That's how you create a grand slam. Also, executives all over have swallowed the Scorsese drivel and scorn for comic book movies. The respect dropped to zero, and boy did it show. Furthermore, you shouldn't have an audience rejecting a movie because "it has no future." You should have them wanting to see each movie because it is going to be GREAT. The thing is, they're not making great movies.
