This is not it. The problem is an age old one: hedonism v moralism. Hedonists believe pleasure is that obvious and natural goal, and they laugh at moralists, whom they think are stupid. Moralist value virtue, and while pleasure is fine, it's not the ultimate goal. So in marriage, it is important that neither partner be a hedonist, because they will become unhappy and leave or seek someone else while still in the marriage. A hedonist looks at a marriage as a thing to "win." A moralist, on the other hand, just wants to do the right thing. They want to love each other, be loyal, to raise the kids right, and are willing to make sacrifices for the good of the family. Feminism and other libertine philosophies are what has wrecked marriage for the last several generations.
