  1. Keep in mind there were two attempts on Ford back in Sept '75, both at close range (Secret Sieve, where were you?), and Ford was saved by a point blank misfire and a miss. The first attempter was tangentially related to the CIA, reportedly. The second was a "former FBI informant." What was going on at the time? The investigation, exposure, and censure of the FBI for its COINTELPRO program. IMO, the CIA is involved when it's a foreign national or drugged up crazy person (MK-Ultra signature move). The FBI is the culprit when the attempter is racially or politically motivated. You know, as in, "I was chatting with friends online, and I met some new guy in the chat room who suggested I should take my ideas and put them into action."
