It's obvious what what we see with the male and female Gravettian populations is a division of food like that described in the rhyme "Jack Sprat." It goes, "Jack Sprat could eat no fat, his wife could eat no lean, and so between the both, you see, they licked the platter clean." So the culture is eating predominantly animal flesh, and the meat is given to the men, which makes them tall and lean. The fat is given to the women, which makes them small and plump. This is probably the long-held ancestral pattern, as there are indicators favoring fat females, in that women are unusually plump for female apes, and there must be genetic reasons for it. Women also need high fat to keep their hormones balanced, and to prevent diabetes during pregnancy. Men, who have the more active role as hunters / trappers / protectors / builders / warriors, need the meat to attain greater stature and prowess. So the dimorphism between the sexes is not that unusual, but rather easily explained as being probably 100% normal for natural humans. Women were probably eating animal fat and cracking the bones for marrow.
