  4. The audience for comic book superheroes has historically been young men, and to a fair extent there has been an aging of that core group. So Disney+ creates a show that men aren't interested in, and blames men for not watching it. Obviously Disney+ is laundering money somehow, following the CW business plan. They aren't trying to make money from this. I doubt the shareholders will complain, but they should.

Because the people working on the show, especially the executives, are getting paid ridiculous money to do it. And who loses? The investors. So why don't investors pull out? Because they are compelled to invest by ESG rules. BlackRock and Vanguard take investor money, and invest it following ESG rules, which tells them to invest in woke companies. And it's hard to find an investment company that isn't using ESG. So with the investment money captured, show producers can produce all the expensive crap they want, SKIM millions off the top for themselves, and blame the ruin on "toxic audiences."

  21. There are so many women as leads in action / thrillers these days. You can pretty much watch them continuously. The problem is not female leads. There's nothing wrong with that. The problem is when they take an established male and castrate him, turning him into a joke character, and then they make the lead female an unstoppable Mary Sue. It's bad fan service, bad branding, and bad writing ... which makes for an all-around bad production.
