  1. The "news" media is literally a misinformation media, and it always has been. Not that everyone has to adhere to that rule. Some people can try to behave in a moral and truthful manner. But most don't. Most are just writing trash that they can either sell to customers, because it's a weird story like the "love child of Elvis and an alien," or the writer is being paid ultimately by a specific special interest, like a business that has purchased ad space.
