I'm no fan of hers, but I thought she handled herself very well. She's lying to conceal the plain fact that Chicago and Illinois are basically in a death spiral, like NYC and CA. She can't afford to have anyone else leave the city or state. She's hoping like hell that she'll convince somebody to make Chicago their home. Cities and states, especially those run by Democrats, cannot cope with loss of growth. The whole grift system is predicated on growth. When people and businesses are leaving, that's the reaper knocking at the door.
