  1. Not necessarily. In a sense, Trump keeping himself in the public eye and commanding attention is actually protecting him. They'd just put him in jail if he wasn't a candidate. He'd have a cell next to the Jan 6 people. They're super corrupt, but putting candidate Trump in jail, with the whole world to see it, would show even more people that the US deep state is against the people and against freedom.
