Let's not judge this too harshly. Whilst students practice reversing within the boundaries of a driving school, after initial competency training, the teacher will allow the student to complete reversing by themselves, as if they were in an exam, to develop self confidence. Many of these driving schools crudely modify the operation of the accelerator pedal, as a speed limiter, be it a piece of wood under the pedal, or something else. It appears likely that this dislodged and got stuck with the pedal down, with the car at extremely high revs. This would make it difficult to brake in reverse to cause it to stall, and it is likely that the inexperienced student spent his time trying to dislodge the jammed pedal. I have been at these driving schools, and have seen this. I hope people gain a little more understanding, and am sure the student felt terrified.

My problem lies with the use of the word "suspected", which is much like guilt without trial. Off memory, recently EU members were invited to Xinjiang to see the situation first hand, but declined the offer.

There are way too many unknown variables to hold any one person, organization or government responsible for what at the time was an unknown pandemic. Thus it would be a waste of time, not just in China, but also anywhere else in the world. Of course such actions is in the best interests of lawyers as it keeps them employed as litigators, and gives them the opportunity to exploit laws in China and elsewhere.

@fungames24 to be fair, this was the end of a 99 year lease of Hong Kong. It was always to be returned to China, only a matter of timing. The people of Hong Kong can determine their future by constructive dialogue with a government, which after all, they elected.

@MrGong55 i have the Weibo posting and there is no accusation, only a question. Read it again, as i have stated, one way with the punctuation and one way without, and there is a change in context. American translation to English is often different to Chinese translation to English. One also needs to account for this to have been a concensual relationship, going back ten years. You also say, this is basic grammar. I will point out that she was also poorly educated, which can be seen quite clearly when you read the whole post.

About the CIA report and it's assessment of civil war risk in the U.S.A. being extremely high within the next two years is in an interview on CNN with a University Professor who was part of an invesrigative team. Check it out. Oh, and i don't read the Global Times because i know it would not give me a balanced narrative.

@rozenkurosei3995 i will make a point of saying that her original text is full of commas, to pause between the comments. This was written more as a letter to him, rather then as a blog. The only thing i can agree on is that he showed interest in coaxing her, but no coercion. Additionally, as a 36 year old woman, as well as not being very well educated, she is also extremely naive.

And as a Taiwanese you also know there is no CCP, but there is a CPC. The people of Taiwan will make their decision, and my comments on this video to start with was only related to the US.

The Hong Kong solution to stopping all the demonstrations snd violence. STOP DISCUSSING THE PROBLEM, AND START DISCUSSING THE SOLUTIONS. This does not just happen. Those in leadership should be sitting down with the government, and in frank and meaningful discussions, find a way to resolve. Do not be single minded, as nothing will be resolved. There will be give and take, but there should not be demands! Again, use this slogan, adopt it and act by it.

@Barceman i dont suggest to cover up any information. It is possible for the virus to survive for some time in that environment where it was discovered, but in my view not possible to reproduce, as it requires an appropriate cell, in which to "sporn". Yes, in China some pets were thrown off buildings and killed in the early stages of the virus. I still hold my position, that the results should not have been released until conclusive. Yes, as i said earlier, a product of its environment. People should always be careful and aware at these times.

A country is its people. The military is there to protect the people of his country. So his oath as a member of the military is to his country. This oath is not made to a General with political aspirations, using the army as his tool to gain political power. Most Myanmar soldiers are currently in defiance of their primary oath to protect their country.
