I am wondering if this is caused by lack of pre and post natal education by midwives, who should be teaching pelvic exercises to strengthen pelvic functions both pre and post birth. My daughter is a fully qualified midwife, and apart from deliveries, she spends all her other times teaching these to mums to be. She also has her own three children, so also has first hand experience. I guess this is a way of dealing with the problem rather then the embarrassing symptoms.

@72sunrise yes, but correct exercises before and after birth speeds up the recovery process. Not six months as was the case of this woman.
