  1. It was mentioned that Sinovac efficacy rate was 51%, which may or may not be right, but the statement of its effectiveness is 100% wrong. That is because efficacy is misinterpreted, even by people working in the medical field. The simplest way to look at it is that 51 out of every 100 people are fully protected by the vaccine from serious illness. In fact the 51% quoted was the lowest of reported rates, with initial official controlled trial data showing efficacy rate of around 80%, and many countries confirming this. So the 51% as quoted, is not an official controlled trial number, and should not be quoted out of context.
