  1. I see competing at the Olympics as and individuals personal achievement, at the highest level, with little to do with which country you come from. The competition is staged by the International Olympic Committee, not by a country and representatives are nominated by Sports associations from all over the world, representing the olympic committee nominating them. Medial tallys by country is done by the Main Stream Media, and always has been, but has nothing to do with the country they necessarily live in or come from. A classic example at these games is a woman Mogul skier from Australia, Jakara Anthony who won a gold medal at the Olympics. Facilities for Mogul Skiing are very limited in Australia, thus most is done overseas, such as in U.S. and Canada. Thus the end result winning at the highest level is a personal achievement, not that of their country. Jakara should receive the congratulations she deserves for such personal achievement.
