Why dont you guys put forward all the facts? BBC ban from China is misrepresented here. 1. It is in retaliation for the UK banning CGTN from the UK, as well as the BBCs reporting of the Uygher issue with a woman who has given many different accounts of her experience in Xinjiang, which really do not make sense. The BBC has no desire to correct this record, even in the knowledge that it waa wrong. 2. When Covid arrived on the scene in December 2019, the chinese internet was full of false stories and claims, which brought about the policy and crackdown on media reporting in China to be from official sources only. 3. In the last four or five years years there has also been a massive crackdown on corruption within China, which has implicated many people including foreigners. If one considers these factors as well as understanding modern life in China from the non political perspective of the ordinary chinese person not living in Beijing, then perhaps these discussions may not sound so negative towards China.

FYI, as Australia has parliamentarians and senators, China has it's own Peoples Congress if some 3,000 elected representatives to whom the leaders answer to during the plenary sessions each year.

@animalfarm7467 thank you, i am strong believer in transparency from all sides. I guess people should really think a little more scientifically. Every action brings about a corresponding reaction, to put it simplistically.

I believe (but hope not) that my comments here have been ghost banned! If so, i would like to know why, and secondly if so, it would be a clear sign of this story having its own set agenda, not subject to public scrutiny.
