As an Australian living in China, i strongly recommend our Prime Minister accept the invitation to visit Beijing, to start to understand China and find out for himself the benefits of improving the trade relationship, and to push away from militarist support of the US.

@rollingdownfalling chen Lei was unfortunate to get caught up with a group of foreign news reporters, leading to inadvertent disclosure of information. Take note that a few foreign correspondents including ABC Australia, quickly left China, leaving a fellow Australian to face the music. ABC Australia should know more then they are letting the public know, as should the Australian Government. It is unfortunate that law in China does not recognize what may be accidental. if information of matters of security were divulged, then they are guilty (no grey areas), however there may be leniency in the sentencing process. I was glad to see Paul Keating stand up to be heard, for he was correct, and Australia is a vassal state to the US.

@rollingdownfalling i can see you actually believe the distorted narrative. Ask the ABC and David Hill about the Beijing events. They swept it under the rug, not to be involved, and where is that reporter on China now, who was last seen in Taiwan, to stay out of the reach of Questions by the Chinese police, the reason for his hasty departure. He and at least one Canadian quickly left China to avoid questions re Cheng Lei. it is okay, you need not concern yourself about me, because the police interest is only in people who do the wrong thing.
