Many words used are "seems", "appears", "believe", "suspect", etc, but nothing is factual, and is mostly based on satellite images, and information from from groups with agendas. Perhaps there should have been something said about what brought about the construction or use of buildings as detention camps. Nothing is said about for example the East Turkenstan Liberation Organisation, which is a radical group indoctrinating the people in Xinjiang to the ways and methods of its associated group el Qaeda. This led to many bombings, countless deaths and injuries throughout Xinjiang and in other cities of China. So by no such mentions, this so called strategic policy institute appears to have its own agenda. My question would be, what is its agenda, set by whom and why?

Hi Eric, i am also a first time viewer, and also have been living in China for many years, although i do not vlog (probably too old, lol). I agree with virtually all that you say, other then to add some words which i believe are your opinion, being descriptions. Workers throughout China, unlike the west, live in dormitory style accomodation at their workplace, which basically comprises a bed and some common area for relaxation. As to whether it is good or not is a matter of opinion, and may well compare to living conditions in their hometowns. They work long days, from early morning until late at night in many industries, and will generally have the ability to save their salaries which are also generally paid monthly in arrears, much of which is sent home. As long as these workers feel comfortable in their accomodation, then it is fine. There are standards which must be maintained, which are always being followed through by the Shenzhen workers administration, as are wage levels. All in all, China is not utopia and certainly not hell, and yes, there are many varieties of birds, even sparrows, lol. I enjoy living here because the people are friendly and it is not expensive, and therefore can live a comfortable modest lifestyle.

Hi Cyrus, good video. I have just subscribed to you. To be up front, i am not American and i live in China. I am at the age where i can remember a very well respected president in the USA, who created one of the best quotes, which should be used at the forefront of this pandemic. You have by now undoubtedly recalled the President who comes to mind, as John F Kennedy. He quoted, and my words may not be exact as i am working on memory, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but for what you can do for your country". These became very famous words, and reflect where America with all its patriotism should be today. This should again be the slogan for fighting the pandemic as a way of unifying the American public, against a common enemy not being China, not being Russia, not being North Korea, but in actual fact being COVID19.

In general, a lot of Australian governments were proactive in their actions and restrictions when the virus first entered Australia. However, with the lower numbers then expected, they moved to being reactive, and way too slowly, thus now being in the situation where the virus appears to be well entrenched in Melbourne. I know it is painful, however i seriously suggest, that the most strongest restrictions such as stage 4 be introduced, to stop the virus in its tracks. A period of 4 weeks would see a substantial turnaround of current events. Anything other then this action, will lead to repetition after repetition of shutdowns, at a much higher cost to the state's and individual business economies. Additionally, we will see large increases in the death toll, two to three weeks after we see these large numbers.

@Tube4mj the U.S. State Department is pushing Australia via it's previous minister for Home Affairs, now minister for Defence, to locate ICBMs in Northern Australia. These have tactical warheads and are not weapons for self defence. Most Australian politicians have very short memories about the lies fed by the State Department such as Iraq having weapons of mass destruction, resulting in the invasion and destruction of Iraq, as has also been done in Libya and Afghanistan. We currently have a very dangerous Prime Minister who could, if he continues the negative rhetoric about China, talk the country into a war. If that does not occur, it will certainly lead to destruction of economic ties which will see the Australian Economy plunge to levels never seen before! Remember America's rhetoric is if you are not with us, you are against us. I admire the current stance of the New Zealand Government, and urge the Australian government and politicians to mind their own business, and not interfere with the affairs of other nations, After all, Australia has a number of issues it needs to deal with first, with all the Royal Commissions taking place, and the further action required to deal the Australian soldiers and their murder of civilians in Afghanistan, just to name a few.

As i see it, most of the diabetes in China, being Type 2, has developed as an onset diabetes in the elderly, who rarely even know they are suffering from this. I believe a lifetime of eating rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner, coupled with the reduced output of the pancreas being age related after a lifetime of struggle producing sufficient insulin, is the root cause. This rice, being hi GI carbohydrates is converted to sugars very quickly, with the body unable to produce enough insulin to absorb it as energy. In China, it is not a result of lifestyle change, or eating fastfood. It can be controlled with a change of diet, lowering the carbohydrate intake.

@CamMac-kd1ou since when do we define "economic" zones. This is political garbage. So it is ok for US, Australian, British, Dutch and other countries war ships, including several aircraft carriers to traverse the south china sea, to intimidate China, but close to home this should not happen? The world is one, and people should be respecting it as a One World, for all. The whinging and statements made by Morrison was childish, given the nature of the visit by the RAAF plane, which was in reality not on a training sortie, but on a spy sortie. Training missions by a single aircraft would not be carried out in the Arafura Sea, but more likely in the Gulf of Carpentaria, similar to those commonly carried out in the Spencer Gulf, many years ago. So provocation generally will receive responsive provocation. Look at both sides!

The talk of intrusion into Taiwan's Air Defence Zone by Chinese military aircraft, is absolute nonsense, as this Zone, which is only bring touted by the U.S., covers a substantial part of the Chinese mainland. As can be seen on many of the maps shown by western media, all these flights were in international airspace. However, it is okay for two U.S. and one British aircraft carriers along with an amarda of support ships to sail through the strait separating Taiwan and the mainland. It would therefore be apparent that whilst these ships remain in this area to intimidate China, the PLA airforce is likely to continue these sorties.
As for the use of the word "autocratic or autocracy", which is often used to describe China, it is time to think again. Yes, China has a single party government, which is headed by a secretary general, whom the west has given the name President, and results in the automatic use of this President being an autocrat. In actual fact, the governance of China is not much different to the west, other then there is little standing in the way of decision making. Let me remind you of the autocracy of almost every western nation whilst in a pandemic. You may not work, you must stay home, you are only allowed out for "x" number of hours per day, etc, etc, etc., at different levels of government. Also in the case of Australia, an Australian citizen must seek government approval to enter the country, and will likely be placed on a waiting list, with further covenants on arrival, regardless of where they have been. So think again before using this word to describe others who may have a different form of governance, simply to portray to the viewers a negative image of that country.

I see competing at the Olympics as and individuals personal achievement, at the highest level, with little to do with which country you come from. The competition is staged by the International Olympic Committee, not by a country and representatives are nominated by Sports associations from all over the world, representing the olympic committee nominating them. Medial tallys by country is done by the Main Stream Media, and always has been, but has nothing to do with the country they necessarily live in or come from. A classic example at these games is a woman Mogul skier from Australia, Jakara Anthony who won a gold medal at the Olympics. Facilities for Mogul Skiing are very limited in Australia, thus most is done overseas, such as in U.S. and Canada. Thus the end result winning at the highest level is a personal achievement, not that of their country. Jakara should receive the congratulations she deserves for such personal achievement.

As a result of the one case in Nanning, the residential district of NingNing ( i think that was its name) was shut down and all residents tested. I live in Binyang, Guangxi, which is a county of the city of Nanning, and there has not been one case since the pandemic started. Mind you, we have restrictions at the moment that would surprise people in the west, but the reason is very sound. You cannot at the moment, prior to the spring festival with so many people arriving from the big cities, buy many types of medicine especially for colds and flu, and analgesics which assist with temperature reduction. This is intended to force people with any symptoms of colds and other illnesses to attend the peoples hospital, where they will firstly be tested, and can receive medications for any ailments they may have. Of course, wearing of masks and temperature checks are also back when entering plazas and supermarkets, until after the spring festival, when things will again return to normal.

@S2Tubes check facts, yes a border skirmish with India, who initiated it is unclear but the incident is minor by comparison. The islands as you mention are early warning detection in response to Obama encircling China with American military bases (again check your facts). Air space incursions again are minor but are not threats of war, and could well be compared to American military incursions over territory which is chinese controlled, used to antagonize and for propaganda purposes. Taiwan (formerly Formosa) was part of China prior to Japanese occupation of WW2, and in the peace settlement as arranged by USA with the Japanese, was excluded from territories to be returned to China, but is still known as China. It did not become Taiwan until some years later when occupied following the civil war. Most countries in the world do not recognise Taiwan as a separate nation, and thus its sovereignty is questioned by the Beijing Government, who look forward to one day reuniting the people of the two Chinas. As with most things in China, they will more likely wait out time for unification as they tend to do with most matters, and it is the western nations speaking of war, as well as initiating acts to provoke war, such as selling of missiles and military hardware to Taiwan (again do some fact checking). China has not threatened war against any nation that i know of, but will defend itself, unlike some western nations (again fact check).

@fake-news you may well have lived in China for many years, but you did not live there during the pandemic. It has yet to be proved that the virus originated in China, although it was first discovered and made known to the world. Before criticizing certain aspects of the response you seem unaware of what was occurring behind the scenes, once this unknown virus was discovered. A specialist team of scientists was dispatched to Wuhan to investigate this unknown virus, which had already been made known to the public, although it had been misrepresented as a different virus, namely SARS. I will remind you, at that time this virus was unknown! Some people who publicized this were castigated by local authorities but did not follow proper procedures. As a result, they lost their jobs or were demoted, and all charges were admonished. It still took the scientific team a week to discover the virus and learn it genome, which was released to the world a little more then a week after their arrival. As to the nature of the virus, that was still under investigation, including spread and effects. The rest of the world could have been much more prepared, if some of their governments did not behave so pig headedly. As for the origin of the virus, although there was much assumed speculation about where it began, there is still no answer or proof. Interestingly, today it was announced through Reuters, that scientists in Italy believe the virus was active there back in September 2019. You are welcome to check this information out. So did this virus originate in China, possibly unlikely, however China was the first country to identify it and to share its genome with the world as soon as it was known. Did China respond appropriately at first sign of this virus? Possibly not, but it did not know too much about it. When sufficient information was known, it moved very rapidly in terms of world notifications and internal lockdowns. I suggest you go back and do some research.

Consider the following:
1. The U.S. was building a military facility in the Ukraine, be it a small one, just near the Russian border.
2. In 2014 Russia forcefully took back Crimea which was given to the Ukraine by the Russian president during the U.S.S.R. days.
3. The Ukraine is seen as a democratic republic, after removal of its previous government.
4. The Ukraine wants to become a member of NATO. As such, NATO could establish (and would likely do so) military bases on the Ukrainisn Russian Border.
5. At the moment the Ukraine acts as a buffer zone between the bulk of NATO and Russia.
6. If the Ukraine was admitted to NATO, it is most likely to comnence military operations to take back Crimea.
7. A military action between Ukraine and Russia in such an event, due to the NATO accord, they would have to join the Ukraine in a war against Russia.
8. Russia cannot win a conventional war against a much stonger and well equipped NATO, with ten times the military budget of Russia.
9. Any conventional war between Russia and NATO would mean the total destruction of Russia.
10. Russia is therefore in the position of a cornered rat. Such a position would likely start a nuclear war.
According to Putin, if he waited for the above, and no one would deny these likely scenarios, it would be the end of and total destruction of Russia. As a result he had to make the first strike.
In my analysis, Russia does not want the Ukraine as part of its territory, and at some time allow it to return to some form of democracy, with conditions.
The most major if those conditions (and this should be the aim of immediate peace settlements) should be a guarantee that Ukraine will never become a member of NATO.
The issue of Crimea could be dealt with by way of return of Crimea to Ukraine, and a 70 or 99 year lease given to Russia for this peninsula.
Any further negotiations should be continued following a guaranteed ceasefire between both countries.
WHERE ARE THE PEACEMAKERS IN THIS WORLD?

It is difficult to believe Biden is good for America, when in announcing the beginning of the AUKUS Alliance, he cannot remember the name of one of the two only partners to America in this alliance, maybe his greatest embarrassment since taking office. To me, it would seem that he and his team have coerced the UK and Australia to Shill for America, the aim being to direct them against China, with a lesser direct, but greater indirect, involvement by the US. Unfortunately, this will cost Australia economically and will in my thinking most likely send the country into recession. It is most unfortunate that the Australian government does not recognize that "The Mouse That Roared", was not based on a reality, but was only a fairytale.

@Epistemophilia7 that is the job of doctors, to advise on pre existing conditions. My parents in law are in that position of underlying medical issues, thus we took them to discuss with the doctor, who still recommended the vaccination, thus both were vaccinated to double dose. However, they still fear vaccination, and do not want the booster. This is with Chinese vaccines, which are standard type vaccines, like any other vaccine people get. There has to be an education blitz, to target the elderly to receive all three doses. In Shanghai, i believe on 62% of the elderly population have been vaccinated to the booster stage. So there is a huge potential for deaths, which nobody wants.

Smart Arrs he is a troll, having received many rubbish comments from him previously. Thanks for your support. To be honest, i am an Australian living in southern China province Guangxi, living in a rural town. So i know the people, i know their attitudes, and realise they are no different to western people other then their skin colour. They are amazingly clever and work very hard, most commonly working 10 to 11 hours per day, six days per week. They think very highly of countries such as Australia, but love their own country because it will always be the motherland. Their interest in other countries is to visit them, which is the same as many westerners wishing to travel overseas. Anyone can apply for and receive a passport, and everyone is free to travel where they like.

I spent some time in Guangzhou and saw many disabled people, most of the being beggars. I also saw quite a few in Shenzhen. The problem with China, as I see it, is that these people are the responsibility of their families, where they have them, otherwise finish on the street. The Government, does not as I saw it, look after them, or require facilitation of disabled facilities, be it in shopping centres, car parks or other venues.

What is all this about Chinese aggression and so called expansion? China is in a constant state of self defense. Why, because Australia does not agree with China's ideology. China's ideology is not being pushed onto the rest of the world, as it is unique to only China. It is only the west, and in particularly speaking of war, not in China. China wants to expand as an economic power, and its military expansion has been built for self defense capabalities. Time for the west to wake up, and in particular to American propaganda, moving from one situation to another, starting with Hong Kong, Tibet, Xinjiang and now Taiwan. Remember who was behind financing problems in Tibet, then Hong Kong, and if they had their way, the East Turkenstan Democracy Movement (which is alikened to financing al-Qaeda) in Xinjiang. Of course America has made a mint from selling military hardware to Taiwan, so to incite it any further is good for American arms manufacturing. Wake up Australia! We have nothing to gain and everything to lose, being led by supposed narrow minded experts, brandishing threats of war. They are totally irresponsible.

Some things which should be noted: people in China are just like people anywhere else in the world, and there will always be some who do not conform to requests such as self isolation due to being a close contact of an infected person. As a result some were forced to remain in their homes by having action taken including doors being welded, which gave western media a field day. Of course, nothing was mentioned about these people receiving daily supplies of fresh food and where necessary medicine, delivered directly to them. Then the western press had a field day with the use of the word "draconian". Virologists and epidemiologists the world over all agree that draconian means are the only way to stop a pandemic. Of course most countries have not gone hard with these "draconian" lockdowns, and the results can be seen. Just look at Europe and North America. The only countries to have followed such means seem to be Australia and New Zealand, and now look at their results. I recall in March last year, i was encouraging everyone i knew to wear a mask if possible, not to prevent catching the virus, but instead to minimize the chance of its spread. Unbelieveable as it may sound, although i was laughed at, at that time, it is now mandated in many places. So let's stop criticizing and or blaming China, and start reflecting on our own actions, or should i say inactions!

To all the conspiracy theorists! The theories of 5G as a threat came from Russia, by its internet television network RT. Check it out and learn the truth. We began with 2G, then 3G, then 4G, and now 5G, however the average lifespan continues to increase. Only one country has 5G, as most of the world has fallen behind. America wants to be the country to control and roll out 5G, which it currently does not have, so will do everything it can, including lie, deceit and deception. This is the source of misinformation. Power comes from money, and America wants to control it.

To be clear, Meng Wanzhou signed a Deferred Prosecution Agreement, which included charges which were downgraded, to which she pleaded not guilty. What was agreed as part of all this was that it was effectively a confidentially agreement, gagging Meng from speaking about it for a period of 4 years from the date of her initial arrest. If you want to claim this document as admission of guilt, (to which she pleaded not guilty) then in fact this document was coercion for her release. It is highly likely that the two Canadians were released as a result. As for the two Chinese Americans, being beneficiaries of a fraudulent father, i can understand what was behind their ban on leaving China, which must be obvious. Of course you will not return to China, as by your own admission you fraudulently obtained your driver's licence, which undoubtedly has come to the attention of Chinese authorities.

FYI, all trains have provisions for wheelchairs, so these people are not invisible, and i have seen many. I have also seen many other people with disabilities in public, however there are many who remain home.
The report on the hypersonic missile is only that, just a report, totally unconfirmed, so should at this point, not even be a point of discussion. This was even beyond the knowledge of China's mainstream media, the Global Times, as confirmed here.

I will remind the audience that this has been occurring for years with rockets from America and Russia, and as was the case, also Skylab. There are no control elements left as all fuel and power is eliminated so cannot be controlled. America does not allow China to be part of the international space station, because they do not want to share technology. However, it is inevitable that China will need to experiment (as America has done in the past) to develop their own technology. We are one people on one earth, and so far as space exploration is concerned, there should always be a way for all nations to work together, for all to benefit and to eliminate risk. Currently, the earths orbit is littered with satellites and other debris, most of which will one day return to earth, and all of it will return uncontrolled. So i am bemused by headlines such as the inclusion of the words "rogue" and "uncontrolled". All of this debris returns uncontrolled, and we always hope remnants land in our oceans.

It is apparent that there are many lunatics in Australian Media, who seem to be oblivious to anything happening beyond the Australian Border. Believe a man like Fauci, they are believing an apprentice. Instead, learn from someone like Zhong Nanshan, who was both the expert on SARS and Covid19. Hey, he understands English. None of these commentators understand or have any notion of this virus. It is extremely contagious, and can kill within two weeks, depending on the inoculin received. I live in China, have been watching this in China and overseas since 3rd January. I cannot believe the lack of support by the media, who seem to be preoccupied with clickbait, and have behaved irresponsibly. Oh, it should not be called Social Distancing, because there is nothing social about it. It would be more apt to call it Physical Distancing! This is its purpose.

OMG, pop up messages on my mobile phone, on my wife's mobile phone, my wife's family's mobile phones? All we get are health and drive safely messages. Oh, by the way, whatever house you own in China is covered by a certificate of title, which cannot be taken away. There are laws in respect to the land lease, which will be renewed at it's termination. So the building, even though built on leased land, cannot be touched without adequate compensation. You need to check this out before such nefarious comment, Oh, by the way, i own my house here in China! I suggest you seek some education about the real China you seem to know little about.

Let's think about the performance of Morrison and his Government from the country's position prior to his takeover.
He has clearly demonstrated anti China behaviour following briefings from the U.S., along with his favourite buddy, Peter Dutton (the Minister for War), and call him that because that is all he thinks about as Minister for Defence. Dutton has visited Washington on at least three separate ocassions, fir briefings at the White House, starting as Minister for Home Affairs. How many times has he been to or contacted China to fact check this briefing information. ZERO! The same goes for Morrison, who has had much opportunity, but no action.
As a result of his verbal diarrhea, lets not forget a Victorian Premier who had a similar problem, Australia has lost minimally a billion dollars worth of trade with China, with a relationship which has moved from Australian Naval ships visiting Chinese Ports, and military interaction between the two countries, to absolutely no contact between the two countries, other then to subscribe to abuse and accusation without fact checking and verification.
So what did Australia lose? As widely reported, 600 million dollars of Barley sales (now being supplied by the U.S.), a large quantity of beef sales (but not entirely, much of which is now supplied by the U.S.), Western Australian Rock Lobster (Tasmanian lobster was not included as a banned product), Australian Wine (which is loved by many chinese people), Black coal (but not entirely), and potentially LPG, for which China is Australias biggest customer, (which will likely be replaced with gas from new fields in Kazakhstan or somewhere close to this region). At no time during any period has any minister from the government gone to China to address these issues with the Chinese Government. So who has benefited and who has not. Clearly the U.S. has gained an additional billion dollars worth of sales, France has gained substantially with wine sales, with a spread of other countries gaining other sales, all of which is a net loss to mainly Primary Industry. Further, due to AUKUS, we are now an enemy of France. I am sure further advances with the anti China rhetoric every possible moment in Parliament could advance Australia's position with China to no imports at all.
There are numerous other issues that could be cited, but most importantly what is missing is communication, and the China hate (it can be heard in Morrison's parliamentary question time) should cease. Australia's position should be one of how do we recover what is lost, and what did we get from the U.S. as a result of being their lapdog? Likely U.S. military bases in the Northern Territory. This will make Australia the 51st State of the U.S., or has everyone missed that possible scenario? Think about it!

Let's not judge this too harshly. Whilst students practice reversing within the boundaries of a driving school, after initial competency training, the teacher will allow the student to complete reversing by themselves, as if they were in an exam, to develop self confidence. Many of these driving schools crudely modify the operation of the accelerator pedal, as a speed limiter, be it a piece of wood under the pedal, or something else. It appears likely that this dislodged and got stuck with the pedal down, with the car at extremely high revs. This would make it difficult to brake in reverse to cause it to stall, and it is likely that the inexperienced student spent his time trying to dislodge the jammed pedal. I have been at these driving schools, and have seen this. I hope people gain a little more understanding, and am sure the student felt terrified.

@JK_JK_JK my god, some of you people actually believe the garbage such as all people who say positive things about China are part of the 50 cent so called army. I DO NOT GET ONE CENT!
I will let you into a secret. The U.S. is sponsoring many YouTube influencers, through the NED, by the State Department, to ramp up the negative rhetoric.
I am retired and live in China, and i loathe the absolute rubbish i see, including those who refer to the CCP, which is nonexistent. There is only the CPC which is short for the Communist Party of China. You see, there is no "Chinese" in the name, which is another western creation, another dig at China. I can assure you that western disinformation about China far outways anything i have seen from the people of China or even from YouTube creators on China disseminating positive information. So tell me why this is so? There may be some people who are paid as part of the so called 50 cent army, but i have never met one.

@mostlyshorts7462 you better take the cotton wool out of your ears. China is in no rush, and will not force reunification, as stated by them very loudly hundreds if times. On the other hand, the US by way of its chatter, claiming China will attack Taiwan, believes if it repeats itself enough, it will be believed. The world believed them over Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc all based on lies, so continues the same. Look at how many innocent people died, based on an American war mongering WIM!

I was so disappointed with this video, because although your focus was supposed to be the truths and the lies, you are only feeding on one thing, because it is apparent you have a grudge. I remind you of the reports on Youtube by CGTN, an official Chinese Government Television Station, which was reporting about what was happening in Wuhan in early January, and continues to do so today. Your supposed resource ignore much information, which is retrievable on Baidu and other Chinese internet platforms, so you are either ignorant or uninformed, sitting back in your comfortable chair, back there in America. GET REAL, AND START TALKING ABOUT SOLUTIONS, OTHER THEN SPREADING HATE ABOUT THE COUNTRY, WHICH HOLDS YOUR CHILDS HERITAGE. Think about how they will grow up in America!

@Em22-wtf his business was shut down for variety of reasons, with which he was unwilling to deal, for either financial or other reasons. In a court, i could easily show this evidence, but not on this platform. I see you use a PhD, after your name. If that is real, you will know that you need to research a subject, before you become an authority on it, or to gain the knowledge. I cannot even show pictures here. There are 6,081 articles on this subject from early January. So i suggest if you want to see them, go to the following. SEARCH: Baidu: latest news on unknown pneumonia found in Wuhan.
The following is an extract from CCTV news media dated 5th January. (Translated to English)
Wuhan unknown cause of pneumonia has ruled out SARS as of 0800 on January 5, 2020. Wuhan has reported a total of 59 cases of viral pneumonia diagnosis of unknown causes, of which 7 cases of severe patients, life signs of patients in general stable, all patients are currently in Wuhan medical institutions to receive isolation treat.......
There are, as i have said, 6,081 articles on this, all in chinese, which i wont list.
What i have said here was an exclusion of everything that happened during the period, early January to 18th January, on his timeline. Any rational thinker would question this.

China will continue to try to unite and unify the two Chinas peacefully. The current political party leading Taiwan at the moment is very heavily financed and coerced by the U.S.A., with it's leader having spent long periods in the U.S.A. Remember, Taiwan has only had a semblance of democracy since the KMT took it over in 1949, but after the introduction of elections, the U.S. has heavily financed Taiwan to be anti P.R.C., given its desire to reunify. These days, the KMT, currently the opposition party in Taiwan, is much more likely to agree to reunification, which the U.S. does not want. It should be noted however, that China is Taiwans largest trading partner, substantially greater then the U.S.
In reality, the U.S. is using the Taiwan issue for its own purposes in an endeavour to follow the RAND Report, to prevent China becoming the worlds number one economic power, to retain its hegemony over the world economy and the $US dollar. Remember, always follow the money!

There is too much missing information here so that it is clear as to these events. Also there appears to be misreporting for the purposes of sensationalism by reporters. Missing information includes but not limited to a medical team sent to investigate the outbreak from Beijing on or about 31st December. The suppression of information was by the Wuhan medical authorities, because they did not know what the virus was. Dr Li did not make a public posting of information, which was in fact information of a pathology report of one of his patients which indicated the patient was infected with the SARS virus. He warned his students and his peers to be aware on a wechat group, which resulted in a screenshot by one person in the group who posted this to social media, which went viral. He was not picked up by the police, but was asked to come to see the police. The police in Wuhan have also been dressed down by the public security heads in Beijing, for lack of investigation. I live in China, and i have been watching these events unfold since late December/early January, so have become both aware and informed of this situation. I have always held a high opinion of four corners, and in particular of many matters which has brought to light, but am disappointed on the reporting of this event, which still has a long way to go. I hope you will acknowledge that perhaps your report was based on limited information that you had. However, if you really wanted to do research, you can find more then 6000 articles on this issue in a Baidu search.

Do not underestimate China's ability to prevent mass infections, even with omicron. They handle it extremely well, having been through their mass testing. If infected people and/or close contacts are isolated or quarantined, community spread cannot continue, and will therefore cease after a few weeks. As far as totally opening to the world, as with all things pertaining to China, they are not in a rush and they will wait until it is safe. Remember, only one person in China died from the virus in 2021, and the governments attitude is that life is more important then money. Eventually the pandemic will be over, and China will again open fully. China is not officially closed, but maintains it's quarantine requirements for all arrivals from overseas.

@leviathansnemesis3742 they already see it, as little of that is censored. Censorship on the internet is more about deterring political influence and behaviour, like you see in Hong Kong. The violence and damage seen there, which the chinese people get to see in any event, is bad enough for a population of 7 million. Imagine if that was to happen with a population of 1.347 billion people. It would be anarchy. Of course Hong Kong has been heavily influenced by America, and its covert financing there. This was initially the problem in Xinjiang, which was heavily influenced and infiltrated by terrorist organizations, which led to the events of today, being detention centres and re-education. Do your own research, and you will see the problems there pre 2016. America is demonstrating to the world at the moment, how divided and even intolerant their style of democracy can be. China pushes the elements of peace and harmony amongst all people, which really is not such a bad thing. Oh, it is the CPC, not CCP.

Let me suggest this idea of War was planned a long time ago, with personnel from allied nations briefed. To validate what i am suggesting is re my home country Australia. Peter Dutton, in the position of Minister for Home affairs went to the US for a briefing, in the middle of an epidemic crisis. He returned to Australia with the virus. Shortly after that he was moved to the position of Minister for Defence. He has, along with the Australian Prime Minister, made several more trips to the White House, leading to the AUKUS announcement. However, subliminally he has been pushing the message in Australia that the country must prepare for war! One does not make such a statement without some evidence, which is being kept from the Australian people, because it is evident that America is preparing allies for war. The way i see it, the US wants this proxy war to weaken Russia, to the point where the US could move in at any time, in an attempt to take control of Russia. Feasible or not?

Perhaps Andrew Bolt should look a little further then just perhaps, maybe, and a conglomeration of theories, on which to base his assessment, which could associate American Labs ( closed suddenly around this time without explanation), war games held in Wuhan a few weeks prior in close proximity at which american army servicemen competed, and so on. The final out come will be that there is no evidence to implicate any of them at present without positive proof. So in the end, all we have is contrivances and conspiracy theories, none of which all reasonably minded people in this world could positively agree with. It will be a long time, if at all, before the truth is known

@travelpanda7267 the USA has enough cronies for its media follow through on, and to have field days on misrepresentation and misinformation, thus Paul Barry has a greater focus on Australian Media, being part if the ABC. There nothing in the 6 points you have made validate anything, as they are all either nonsense or allegations based without fact. Very quickly, bats are not sold in China, the lab is a research centre just as the CSIRO in Australia has one in Geelong. There was a massive spread of misinformation on the chinese internet which brought about censorship. The human to human transmission was known and advised to the world by both china and the WHO, in spite of USA claims. If information is known about the virus and its origin by any country, it should be shared. There is a president and his secretary of state spreading absolute garble, without evidence, while their own intelligence agencies publicly announce that there is no such information. This is the type of rhetoric which has been coming from these pretentious leaders since January, and see where America is now!

Whilst listening to what amounted to a lot of ranting and raving, i was waiting for the evidence which was stated as leading to this conclusion. Yes, there is the institute in Wuhan, which was actually studying bats from Zhoushan, Zhejiang almost a thousand kilometres away and they were researching Corona Viruses, not SARS, as there are a number of Corona Viruses which come from Bats. There was no evidence or ill researchers with the virus, but only a statement from the US State Department, which already has its own narrative about China. Conclusions must be based on evidence, not heresay. Oh, by the way, where did you find this clown, James Morrow? Never heard of him.

@PropheticShadeZ I don't agree one bit with what has happened between Russia and Ukraine. However, as a result the price of oil is skyrocketing, thus it adds to inflation and hit everyone's hip pocket. I am trying to understand why the high oil price, given the US only imports 7% of its oil from Russia, and Germany has said no. So i am saying, one man calls for these sanctions, which has little effect on his country, and everyone else rightfully or wrongly follows. Additionally, when you think about it, cast your memory back to the low oil pricing during the pandemic. I recall the Australian Government stating that it would purchase a massive reserve of, and i can't think of the exact number, but i think it was 1 million barrels. So why has the federal government not stated its plans of alleviating pricing for the Australian public by release of some or all of this oil, or are they going to use it for political purposes to buy votes at the next election. Think outside of the square!

Biden is the only one to claim that nuclear weapons will be launched by Russia. Putin has not stated in any of his speeches of the use of any of these weapons. So the danger here is Biden! And Russia's military is not up to the task? I suggest you watch this space over the next week. It is apparent your news is received from only one source, nothing being independent. You guys seem to have forgotten 8 years of war in the East of Ukraine. These points i make are clearly an indication of the level of censorship, limiting your ability to gain knowledge, or you are being very selective. As for the interview with the Lowie institute, consider the reality being Zelensky was meant what he said! If you guys were not so intelligent, i would claim you were presenting misinformation. But of course, you do have intelligence, thus you are obviously into spreading disinformation. Do a better job of research, and state both sides of what could be in discussions, a debate, rather then your one sided narrative.

I am an Australian retiree, married to my Chinese wife, and following living for some time in Longgang, we are now living in Binyang, Guangxi, which is a very rural city. I am about to apply for my next visa, which will be for two years, but am not troubled by this notion. We own our own house, and yes i did got my Chinese driver's licence, having studied the laws of chinese motoring, passing the exam with a result on my first try of well over 90%. This is a rural area, and there maybe one or two foreigners in this city, with whom i do not have any contact. My Chinese is very bad, and here is even worse, because other languages spoken here include Binyang Hua and Hakka. Living costs are very cheap, accounting for less then 50% of my pension. I have adapted to communication in other forms, mainly being sign language, with the ocassional use of chinese words, and at other times if necessary using Baidu Translate, which i find is a very useful tool. When i first met my wife, she had no knowedge of english at all, which i am constantly teaching her, and she also studies hard on line, thus our communication is very good. I have now been very well accepted into her very large family of 6 sisters and one brother, after receiving strong objections by them prior to our marriage. I am also fully accepted by her parents, who go out of their way to make me feel comfortable when we visit them, as well as ensuring the food they cook will be to my satisfaction also. I love living here in rural China. There is much more i could tell, and would be happy to advise if people would like to know.

Bernardi is dumb. 0.42% death rate? Yes, against current numbers, but the deaths are from people contracting this disease more then 2 weeks ago, so relate to the number of cases at that time perhaps about 30 cases. So we currently show 8 deaths, makes you reconsider the rate. I have followed this since the 3rd January, and can categorically say, this is not just like the flu. It is much worse, and that is for someone with mild symptoms. I am aware of a 17 school girl, perfectly healthy dying, overseas, in spite of good medical attention. Australian data is in its infancy, thus cannot be relied on. We must look at how it has progressed elsewhere as to our actions and solutions, even at the expense of economy. If the world economy contracts as a result, which now appears inevitable, Australia will fall into the same category without choice. We are too small as a nation to create any significant effects in the worlds economy.

@robertmcaree7016 i suggest you go back and research the textbooks. Examples are things like the Monroe Doctrine, the 1962 Cuban missile crisis, the U.S. National Endowment for Democracy, etc, and you will see how much of this has led to what is happening today. The major powers of the world want to control, you, me and everyone, according to their thinking, not the thinking of individuals, whatever their race, colour, religion or creed.

@sheavague7058 let me reiterate, the media tries to control the narrative, which maintains their influence. Some politicians, like Jacinta, are very good at recognizing it, and can deal with it, but some others cannot. In the US, the MSM divided the nation, thus resulting in Trumps loss, but was it based on honesty? Look who they have in charge now, a man who needs to be led around, required to carry notes as to what he should or should not do, and constantly needing to read "Q" cards. So they have a leader who is controlled. A puppet. By whom? The Neocons! Some call them the deep state. . I am getting distracted with your replies. So getting back to my point, questions should be clear, straight forward and without ambiguity.
