@kittenlang333 , she was referring to the fact that there are different names for each of the basins, which is indeed a technically correct term. She didn't say anything about the Gulf of Mexico. Perhaps you need to do a little soul searching to find out why you are such a rude and critical person who is correcting people when they are 100% correct.

@kittenlang333 , they are both correctly referred to disambiguously as basins elsewhere, although it's a bit archaic. That being stated, there's no need to be so rude to people.
