  1. I can vouch for what Wim is saying. A week or two is all you need but be careful. Never push too far. You could get frostbite. Never go too far or too deep with the cold or heat. Listen to your body. You will know when you’re pushing too far too soon. I don’t think there is any pushing beyond that point. The pain starts to become too extreme. Also, you should resist the temptation to warm yourself too quickly after extreme cold exposure.
