  1.  @Horstelin , you might want to look into thorium reactors. They're not stupid at all. ...and if governments would ever ease up on restrictions, nuclear batteries could solve a lot of our waste issues as well. Nuclear is very smart but you've got to understand and research it a little better.

  6.  @carstekoch , thorium reactors are safer than the nuclear fission reactors we have on submarines all over the world right now. ...but small decentralized nuclear reactors is definitely the way to go. No power source is without its cons but the energy density of nuclear cannot be beaten. ...and we'll see about the fusion reactors. A thorium reactor will be coming online in China in 2025. I doubt we'll have a viable fusion reactor coming online before 2030.
