As a sole caregiver for a nonagenarian with dementia for two years now, I’d just like to say grow a pair and embrace the weapons grade funk. Life’s hard and it gets harder. Deal with it.

@tillyssemberg9195 , thank you. Me too. When dad passes, I will be fairly stoic about it. I’ve come to expect that everything I love will eventually be taken from me, including my life itself. Thank you for reaching out. Try your best to live out a good and happy life. Your mother would want nothing less for you. Honor her wishes, please. Peace to you.

@tillyssemberg9195 , I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. Not only have I learned a lot about life from this experience but it has been an opportunity for me to return the love I received when I was growing up. ...and to continue to receive that love.
