Thanks for your comments Ian. South east Queensland copped it pretty bad in the last week and the storm that done that moved down the coast to Sydney. North west Sydney out where I am, has flooded again and thankfully not as bad as last year at the moment. The dam is still overflowing and there is still water to come off the blue mountains into the Nepean/hawksbury rivers system but the rain has eased. The company I work for has had a static road closure since last years floods due to half a road being washed away. I was there on yesterday and we got the call to pack up and leave incase we got trapped. Unfortunately the road got worse before the river even got to it because of the sheer amount of rain. It still hadn’t been repaired from last year and is now worse. 500,000 metro Sydney Siders were issued with evacuation order but have mostly been rescinded. Again thankfully not as bad as was expected but still a lot of flooding. Hopefully QLD get a breather to get a clean up started at least.

Sorry for those that didn’t read my post and just assumed I’m dismissing QLD and Lismore because of some shit states rivalry. I did start off say that qld got hit bigtime this year and I don’t live there so I can’t speak to how bad it is up there or what’s happening. But I can describe where I am and give context to what I know. And hoped that qld and I will now say EVERYONE gets a breather from the rain to at least get a start on clean ups and get rescues done supplies in for all affected.
