Sorry if one government invites another it isn't an invasion. When you intervene in a civil war, if you back the losing side you will be called invaders. By bthe way we also had troops i n Valdivastock (?) In the Far East.

@FinalMythology His crimes were not against the Roman government, remember the scripture when he said words to the affect "give unto Ceasar that which is Ceasar's and give unto God that which His. If he was seditious, it was to the Hebrew faith. The Roman governor actually let the mob determine whether they wanted a murder to go free or Christ. They chose the murder. That was why the governor washed his hands of the affair. There were actual revolutionaries; one of the things that worked against him with the mob was that he didn't support them.
