This was actually discovered before the midterms. Remember former President Trump was raided for that.

The power grid only hides the real issue, the wind turbines froze. 25% of power was from them. Why "green energy is a fraud", hardening the system means what? Usual Democrat "never let a crisis go to wasre".

These weren't official government offices. One was at a university.

I am commenting on this without listening to this. Why, because it is a manipulative attempt to play on emotion. Anything factual she could say could be obtained from older witnesses without exposing her to the trauma of testimony. It also places the defense in a position where any cross examination looks mean. This type of manipulation of the jury should be avoided.

Sorry, I was in the military, and yes in combat or the field conditions could be poor; but this wasn't combat or a field exercise. There were at least heated facilities that could have been utilized. This is an example of how things will be done under the "sensitive" and "caring" progressives.

@johnphillips1345 What did you miss? I didn't say anything about former President Trump, or him saving anyone. I was pointing out that the treatment of troops in a non-combat and non-field situation inside the US doesn't match what I saw. You seem to have former President Trump on the mind. By the way how long did serve? I served for twelve years, including time in Thailand 5 miles from Laos where the entertainment was watching the fighting across the river. My last duty was Emergency Planning and Response including NBC reconnaissance and monitoring.

@jamesbaxterandthebeachball7005 I agree that sometimes the short and smelling end of the stick; but usually planned operations (outside of field exercises) have some degree of care. I spent three anniversaries as part of AFFOR Headquarters, these were field exercises, and while in the field at least tents and facilities were provided. A planned deployment in a major US city should have some large facilities that could have provided heated space.

@kxlroi4031 As I said, under combat or field combat exercises conditions would be poor, and probably were. This deployment in the states should have at least opened gymnasiums, sports arenas or arsenals as sleeping spaces. The cost would have been minimal and conditions better than garages. There used to be mobility packages that could have provided cots at least. An adult doing the planning is what seems to have been lacking.

I am in Illinois, and annually see the wind turbines here and Indiana stop working due to ice and snow; while solar panels either lose efficiency or fail all together. Also the comment on the other sources, how many actually are not capable of product or had transmission failures due to the failure of the turbines. When a major part of the system fails it brings down the system. By the way, were did you get the total capacity number from, I would lIke to check it.

@eyyop Perhaps they do better there i can only talk about them here; and a significant number fail during the winter. I am curious how well they would with stand a tornado. A problem besides possible reliability issues is their effect on migratory bird flightways.

@eyyop I just saw a YouTube item on Germany's wind and solar power failing due to ice and snow. So, we need climate change to make those work efficiently?!!

@melanyb1470 we don't actually know what documents were seized from former President Trump, any more than we know what was taken from the VP 's civilian offices of now President Biden. The one big difference is how it was handled, and the use of the press compared to the fact the Biden's issue was hidden before the midterms and only leaked later. Another is a VP can't declassified documents, so any that he had did violate security restrictions. We stil have no clear statement as to whether the documents taken from former President were legally declassified. At the very least, the old saw applies here "what is good for the goose is good for the gander." Trump was raided publically in an election year, Biden's documents weren't meanted. That is not the same treatment.
