The last i heard the Feds charged him for falsifying the Fedefal purchase form. That is a non-violent offense with a max penalty of five years. He committed t hat offense in Indiana, so there is a question of jurisdiction. Do I think there is more here than meets the eye, yes. It was his car from Indiana they were driving. Why were they carrying a firearm that he bought in his car in Illinois? Where were they going and what were they intending to do before the stupidity of using a car with expired plates tripped the m up.

@kathyr.8135 i just listened to another news video that was far more informational. The charges were dropped when a state investigator ,etc slip that there were finger prints found in her car tied to three sexual assaults. That is exculpatory evidence and the prosecutor's withheld it, doing so is Brady Violation that could have had the case thrown out with prejudice (i.e. could not be charged again). Withdrawing charges avoided that as well as protected the prosecutor's from possible charges for violating the husband's right to a fair trial. Rumors and dislike do not a case make.

@kenadams4877 Sorry, you fill out a Federal form that if you are buying a firearm for yourself; lying on the form is a Federal crime regardless of the state. The charges are Federal not state. You should learn the facts before posting.

What evidence do all those blaming him have.

By the way charges were dropped due to a Brady violation. It turns out that there were fingervprints found in her car matching those from three sexual assaults. The prosecutor's failed to notify the defense that exculpatory evidence existed, a state investigator let that info slip out. So, in addition to the body being the second found in a search for a third person, other bodies were found in the area. So, possible serial sexual assault case involvement and a possible body dump site, the prosecutor's will have a hard time proving a case. Add to it that the body had been dug up from the grave and scavenged and scattered by animals, the cause of death as well as DNA may be hard if not impossible to determine. No comment if her clothing was found, so were they with her, which could provide evidence of stabbing or shooting, or were they missing a possible indication of a sexual assault or attempt to hide the identity. They will need luck to find a great deal of evidence because of the scavenging.

The killer had violated his probation and violated it by a hit in run. He should have been back serving his original sentence. This woman has decreased her prosecution of what she calls "minor crime", and she now has over 100 murderers alone on ankle monitors giving them a chance to not reoffend. She won't answer how well these policies work, and they don't.

The body was dug p from the grave and scavenged by animals and bones scattered, the job of figuring the cause of death is much harder. By the way, not turning over exculpatory evidence is a Brady Violation; and the case actually had gone to trial this came out, there is a real possibility that the case could be thrown out with prejudice which means no charges could be filed even if the found evidence. Also, the prosecutors could find themselves on the end of ethics charges (I have heard they were investigate without results) and possible civil chsrges. Not something that a prosecutor wants on their records.

If you accept that Hunter wasn't involved, it leaves grave concerns over security in the complex, both phyisical and of. Lassified material.

She refuses to prosecute "minor" crimes, and blames lack of community support for the police as the reason for problems.

@brandonb3262 Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. The buyer was charged by the Feds the last that I heard; and the penalty for his offense (considered a non-violent crime) is a maximum of five years in prison. This means the bond is in line with the charges; however, I would wish that he could have been charged as an accessory to the murder and attempted murder charges. I do have a questions though, he bought the pistol and they were driving his vehicle; where were they going and why? The biggest question is was the straw buyer aware of what they intended to do? Providing the weapon and vehicle seems strange. I don't think that the officers were intentional targets, just that forgetting the tags were expired may caused the original plan not to be completed.

@firenze5555 If they had actual evidence, there would have been charges. People disliking someone or rumors don't necessarily prove anything. I am not saying that he didn't murder her; but evidence needs to be more than opinions. Given that the area in which she was found has a high number of bodies found there, you can't rule out a serial killer hitting targets of opportunity; and a woman riding a bike alone would constitute that if on a rural road or off road bike path, especially if she had a pattern.

I hope this is sarcasm.

So the shooter was a transgender. Considering the person left a manifesto, it could be that it has to do with the transition and what it really does.

Multiple bodies found in the area; so either murders all consider this a good disposal site, or perhaps there is a serial killer in the region. Her body and another body were found behind for another person.

Mr. Coumo given your background, perhaps you aren't the one too run this discussion. Given your previous lack of ethics and biases, you should have no validity. The only reason that I looked at this was it has been one of the few places that has mentioned the transgender angle. To the one doctors musing about transgender status, could it be someone unhappy with the transgndering struck out?

Sorry, he is an illegal alien. A true case that proves that all illegals are nice law abiding people, NOT!! His brother was using a phony Green Card, an I there bones man? While most don't commit additional crimes; all entered the country illegally. How many then commit identity theft are use false ID's (a Federal Crime if a US citizen does it) no one knows. Yes, don't be surprised when someone begins their US life by violating US Immigration Laws follows up by violating other laws. If only 1% commit additional crimes here and the illegals total 8 million, that is 80,000 additional criminals; and the reality will be much higher.
