That poster saying she remembers Ta'Kiya as a bright light. Her Grandmother felt she was such a "bright light" that she took out an order of protection against her; and she had reported her for violating the order. So, there seems to be some a problem reconciling these two facts.

Charging someone with a crime that may have occurred years before and with no way of being proved. This becomes impossible to defend against because likeability becomes the more important thing in the trial. This temporary law is insane.

Informers or agents provocateur? A big difference, if you don't know how many Human informants were there from where; how do you know that agents provocateur weren't sent by some offices.

This one is now dated. The surveillance video has bee released. It shows her shoplifting, it shows the officer clearly infront of her car, and it shows him being at least bumped. Additionally, she had an arrest warrant for violating an order of protection requested by her grandmother. She then had reason to fear arrest (not including fines for an unlicensed car and p a ring in a handicapped space). So she had a number of bad choices in her past starting at age 14 or 15 when she got pregnant for the first time; this time the bad decision resulted in her death. Given her conduct, she as a minimum contributed to her own death.

@DrPsychlops Time to use the brain that you were born with, the surveillance video is out and it more than matches the body cam video. It clearly shows that she and two others stold liquor, it shows her backed into a handicapped parking spot, it shows her stopped and not exiting the car (obstruction and resisting arrest), it shows her trying to drive off at least bumping the officer (fleeing from arrest and assault on a police. Besides a fine for parking in the handicapped slot, a fine for no license plate or registration, if she hac complied, when the called in her name they would have found an arrest warrant for violation of her grandmothers order of protection against her. I other words, she feared arrest. Not the police as such. Also to think about, she was willing to drive into an officer in order to flee; that alone makes her a potential threat to other vehicles and pedestrians (think an armed man fleeing police with a gun out who therefore presents a danger to the public). She was shot because of her own actions, place yourself in the officers shoes; what would you do? If she intended to drink that alcohol, she demonstrated no concern over the child; ever hear of fetal alcohol syndrome? She had a history of bad decisions starting at age 14 or 15 when she got pregnant the first time; the only difference here was it turned out to be a fatally bad decision.

@kriggo1 Have you watched the surveillance video from the store cameras and the parking lot cameras. He was in front of the vehicle when she started forward, he did dodge. Her willingness to drive into him indicates a willingness to drive into anything or any one keeping her from fleeing. She had a guilty mindset, she was on store video stealing, and she knew she had violated a restraining order. She just didn't want to be arrested. In my estimation she was afraid of White police officers, rather she was afraid of being arrested and convicted.

What happens when the voting public says this is too much? Yes, the sanctuary cities and states demand those who said no sanctuary of illegals here to fund their promises. This is how you destroy a nation. When the citizens feel that the government doesn't care about them. Remember no taxation without representation, I am afraid the new cry will be removed those who don't represent t the public. That can easily morph into remove by any means necessary when voting them out doesn't work due to fraud.

@darriuscole8544 Not everyone leaving these areas voted for this. In Illinois, only a few areas are solidly Democrat/Progressive. Why 90 plus counties have refused to enforce the anti-2nd Amendment Bill passed in the middle of the night in a bill where the anti 2A content replaced the bill's original content without actually changing its name. When the government no longer represents you, you have three choices, revolt, shut up and submit, or leave. I have chosen the latter. While taxes rise, corruption spreads and out of touch ideologues control all portions of the government, you have to do something. Do i believe that we can change things, NO! MY grand uncle was a Democrat Aldermanin a suburban C(r)ook County town (a city in most states). I remember the year Kennedy was elected when he sat at the Thanksgiving table laughing about all the cheating done to delivery Chicago and C(r)ook County for; thereby giving him Illinois. I have seen no ethical or moral change in the Illinois Democrat Party. With the most modern equipment available the area is the last to report with just enough votes to win after all the Republican areas have submitted their totals, strange isn't it.

@yvettebowles9011 The governors shipping them out are in the same position that these sanctuary cities are in but worse. First they never were sanctuary states. Second there were vastly more illegals that they were dealing with. If the economic burden is too much for people who asked for it; what is it to people who didn't ask for it or want it?

The use of force isn't just based on the danger to the officer, but the persons behavior a potential danger to the public. So, if she was a danger to the officer by the way she drove, she could be have driven into bystanders by extension since she was willing to drive into the officer.

Some additional facts that need to be considered in determining her mindset at the time of the incident: 1. Supposedly parked backed up into a handicapped parking place. 2. The car did not have current registration or plates. 3. She had a warrant for her arrest for violating an order of perfection issued at the request of her grandmother. 4. We don't know if she had custody of the children left motherless by the event. 5. We don't know if she had a previous record involving law enforcement, but probably yes given the order of protection. 6. We know she had a history of poor life choices given that at 21 she had a six year old child. This means she could have been as young as 14 when she got pregnant. Should we condemn her for that, no; but it does indicate poor decision making skills. So, she had reasons to avoid the police events she hadn't been involved in the shop,fitting of the liquor. She then had as much responsibility for what occurred as the officers. If following vehicle laws and not violating an order of protections won`t have feared arrest and resisted and tried 5o flee endangering the officer and potentially anyone else in her way.
