  2. Already illegal, on the Federal form you are stating that the, firearm is for yourself. This is a crime, and acting as a firearms dealer without the required Federal license is another crime. What is the prosecution rate? A few years old, so not current; there were 100,000 illegal purchasers identified by Government, of this only 1,000 charged; and the source didn't give the number of convictions or sentencing information. So how many people are willing to risk something with at best a 1% risk of an adverse result? I suspect quite a few when the profit is high enough.

  3. I seriously doubt that Chicago police officers are a major source of illegal weapons. Do you have evidence or personal knowledge, if the latter is it because you illegally purchased a firearm from them?

Let us see, the manufacturers must have records on how many guns the make, to who (mostly dealers, and already mail purchases from manufacturers must go through a licensed dealer who has to follow both state and Federal laws, including background check) the are sold. !so, let's see, if background checks are done and a firearm is illegally used, how could the manufacturer been responsible? Even the one shooting that they mentioned was a state permitting error added to the man making a false statement on the purchase forms. How about enforcing existing laws.
