The issues affecting buildings in Chicago, are different. Salt water is worse than just water. The strength of storm surges and the loss of ground water all are different. Does that mean you should ignore it, NO! It does mean unnecessary fear mongering isn't needed either. By the way, the Florida efforts have been search and recovery far longer than they will admit. It definitely was that when they decided to bring the rest down. If they had thought anyone was alive, that wouldn't been done since it would have killed survivors. Another earlier sign of what they won't say was the use of heavy equipment. All in all, nothing new; public officials not wanting to mention unpleasant truths.
