Reimagine another term which obscures no action to repair rhe damage done to the original system. For example, crime increases because of people's conduct which forces police action. People complain about police behavior, limiting what police can do. Crime increases and complaints increase. Reduce the number of police and further limit their ability to respond which causes the "Progressives" to reimagine the police; which means the "Progressives" don't have to address the initial problem, criminal behavior and their response limiting control of criminal behavior. Reimagine- no; return to what used to work and reduce the incentives for the criminal. Remember high speed chases, they caused accidents; solution limit police high speed chases. Result, the criminal knows that speeding results in a better chance of escape, so more potential incidents whether the poliice chase or not since criminals don't follow rules anyhow.
