  1. Actually there is two racist thoughts in Reid's comment. One she assumes all looters are Black and the second (perhaps worse) she assumes all people who defend their homes are White (assuming Blacks won`t defend themselves or their property). Looks like defend misses that second point.

  2. "Greater damage due to rising water levels" ignores more people in the area, more buildings and infrastructure, increased costs of rebuilding or repair. These people are fools. Florida responds to hurricanes well because it knows how to do it; while those Northern states did not do as well.
