Why she did spend decades in a Federal prison is beyond me; especially since an US citizen of Japanese descent, visiting grandparents and trapped when the war began, who made propaganda broadcasts during WWII spent decades behind bars. The real joker there was she made the broadcasts under duress. (She was given the choice of broadcasting or becoming a comfort woman (forced prostitute) and the US hide the fact at her trial. Hanoi Jane didn't have that excuse she voluntarily went to North Vietnam and voluntarily provided propaganda.
