@Sasquatch5655 You are right, there was no Native American culture, but many cultures. A couple of examples, the Dutch first met the Irioquis at war with what became the Huron over territory. The Dutch than backed the Iroquis and the French the Huron. The Dutch bought Manhattan from a tribe that sold something that they didn't own. The Souix were originally Great Lakes tribes forced westward by another tribe. A really good example of bad history was the movie "Dancing With Wolves" where they had the Souix concerned over the nature of the White US. This coming from a people who were French allies in at least the second half of the 1600s, who had been both friendly or hostile towards settlers traveling the Great Plains. How many people thought the movie was fact? Worse, the book actually had the Native Americans as Commanche with an even longer history of involvement with Whites; and also absolutely abominable relations with other tribes. She either does actually know history or avoids dealing with it.

@1000kings1 Reality time they trusted the British word more than the colonial's word. It was not racist to punish them when Britain lost, it was the usual result of joining the losing side.

The situation with the Native American reservations is varied, with some better than others and includes questions of corruption of their own leaders.

@LUrzidil-rn7nd Nothing sadder than someone from another country pontificating on things they know little about. I will not claim to know anything about the issue that you raised about Finland; however, I can say that there is no such things as eskimos; they are Inuits. So, your use of that term shows me how much you really have studied any of this.
