  1. Juneteenth was a local holiday in one Texas city. It was the date that Union troops entered the area and told them of the Emancipation Proclamation, which did not end slavery. The date of the Amendment ending slavery could be a holiday and would make sense. This one makes no sense since it celebrates a false fact.
