  1. What is happening in Afghanstan and Kabul todate bears a remarkable and tragic similarity to South Vietnam and Saigon in 1975 including the almost abandonment of locals who supported us. What makes it tragic it is a failure caused by trying to keep consensus here in the states. A little less trying to remake a nation and culture and a lot less messing with the culture.
